A woman once proudly told us that her dog was a pure-bred Goldendoodle, and asked what our dog was. We told her that Poppet was a mix. “But what woould you call her breed?” My wife replied that we weren’t sure what exactly to call a mixed breed dog, but we’d call it a “mutt.”
