As I reached the same age as Rick and Joanie and watched as my daughter first lived with her husband an my son now doing the same thing with his girlfriend (as my wife and I did) I also am enjoying this look back. Yes it is the same old, same old as history repeats it’s self over and over again, and in this case it’s a good thing :)

Every generation thinks it has discovered sex. Sex in all its wild, weird, and glorious permutations & combinations.

Culture exists for a reason.The basic reason is survival.In days gone by — and this is a secret — sexual relations sometimes produced pregnancy.Pregnancy can kill, weaken and/or be expensive.If sperm donors are not committed to the survival of the woman and the offspring, much pain and suffering results.Yes, results — present tense.Society attempts to avoid that suffering.Birth control helps some.Religious organizations and government programs attempt to help in the frequent failures of the second line of defense, but crime reports and joblessness show they are less effective than we would all wish..Such is life.

It’s the same old same old — but today it’s without the shame :)

Time spent helping others is never wasted.i have to undo the misinformation others give.Sex is pleasant but sometimes has fatal consequences for all involved.We don’t just risk ourselves.
