OK. Is that the Terror Squad guy telling Tracy about the disturbance? Has the maestro found his way out of the embassy? Is he the disturbance… is it the kid… or did the Terror Squad guy notice Virgil Ohso telling the kid to get lost? So many questions. Is Tracy up to it after getting caught in the floooom?
Actually drwatson I believe it to be more correct for them to say “Detective Tracy there’s a CROWD at the DISTURBANCE!”
but then again I could be wrong.
It seems I’m supposed to type an exclamation mark, followed by the image URL inside parentheses? I’ve tried it with and without the parentheses, and with and without the alternate text inside brackets, but it doesn’t work. What could I be doing wrong?
Again with the heads filling the panels. Is this Locher’s way of stating Dick Tracy is the Head Detective, the Maestro is Head of the Orchastra, his son was Head of his rock group, and that guy standing next to Tracy is the Head of the Terror squad?
No, that’s the artist(s) way of avoiding any actual back round art.
Once again, the crime is being solved without any of that messy detective work. Macey just has to stand around long enough, and the criminals reveal themselves. It’s like… the “law of attraction”–“The Secret!”
You don’t suppose DL’s been watching too much Oprah lately, do you?
One wonders, after an exploding violin during a rock vs. baroque band battle, what could occur in the crowd that would qualify as a “disturbance”. Flaming monkeys raining from the sky?

Is it a cop, or Virgil, that’s saying “Stuff it, kid?”
Regardless, I think that’s the best line of the entire story arc.
Maestro, why to you care where your son is? What do you intend to do when you find him?
I’m guessing you’re going to give him a good talking-to, right?
Or…
Could there be some other thing that you’re planning?
What…
Could…
That…
Be……..?

The ‘talking head’ in the 3rd panel says nothing about ‘killing’ tonight….

Can somebody tell me how to embed pics in my posts here? I promise not to abuse that knowledge.
Thanx

The Maestro is slipping today. He forgot to say “I’m going to kill him”.

Last Thursday Locher had a Sam Catchem DOPPELGANGER in - among the crowd
Some think that’s a harbinger of death. Who’s ? Young Harmonic’s (?) … as Virgil draws a gun, OR “back seat” Sam the Jew ?
Nice “FLOOOOOMM !!” there, Flight Suit !

If DL is looking for total confusion at this embassy ball, he’s certainly achieved that today!!!
The strip continues on a downhill slide to Nowhere.

Background art such as a building Without a crowd, except that the crowd is back
sydney over 14 years ago
You’re lucky there’s no background art. Brozman can’t draw it to safe his life. Ugliest, crudest buldings in the business.
Tomorrow - MORE Heads !

Every few days Locher has a panel with Pops bashing his son. It’s just another one of his techniques to avoid writing new dialog.
