Obviously there’s no love lost between Burl and Ma, but she holds the trump cards. Since she pays for their trips to FL it appears that she actually has some moola. We know that Burl has a dead-end job with a small town storage company of which Ma may actually be the owner or at least a major stockholder. It’s likely that she is supplementing their income.So, short story long, she has Burl by the shorts, and I’ll bet she pulls ’em every chance she gets. I know I would, just to hear him squeal.

Sometimes, I find Burl so obnoxious…. well, wait, I always find him obnoxious…. what I mean is that he is obnoxious and RUDE today. Ugh.
