Uh, I wouldn’t use those guys as examples of “guy fashion” as the epitome of “simpl-”…. oh, wait… one of them is Knute. Yeaah, that is pretty simple….– Sometimes, too, the way the way that they in the media ‘vogue’ us is bogus….

Sigh. . . Why does this have to be so difficult? I just choose what I want, buy it, and wear it—and be done with it. The hell with following fashion trends.

Luann, clothes do not make the woman. Buy something that looks nice and then concentrate on becoming what you want to be.

Although it is nice to find your own personal style, the problem is the stores (and the media) only “feed” you “your” personal and individual look/style, based on someone else’s dictates. – Or you end up trying to “look” as though you’re “fun and flirty and friendly but yet out of your league” or “fun at parties but interview ready at the drop of a hat” (for girls) or “tough and bad-boy but acceptable to the ’rents”or “I’m too cool to care about anything but still in style” (for guys).– Which is ironic, because we’re encouraged to “seek and express individuality”, but the clothes/styles some chase are from the minds/circles of everyone else

First of all, you don’t speak for everyone when you say no one cares. Secondly, way to be closed minded and judgmental of all males without anything to base it off of. Third, what have we learned about Luann from the college plot line so far? Clothes are the most important thing about college, not checking out the campus first, not getting books, no just making sure you dress the part.

Yes the one on the right would never fit.And yes in dressing it would be easier to be a Boy,though the clothes might chance a little on looks the styles really dont

“That cannot be the campus book store. That is Knute wondering around, lost as always. He has no business on a college campus unless he was hired to clean all the toilets.”.While cleaning the toilets, Knute discovered the secret to success is attention to detail, hard work, application of mind. After this and unbeknownst to most others, Knute became a perfect student and is attending on three separate scholarships and has already passed all his midterms with perfect scores.(but don’t tell anybody else, it’s a secret)

Hard to believe that only recently as the 80s the business students still used to wear ties to classes. Then the 90s “grunge” came along and everybody looks like they fell off the back of a turnip truck.

I’m sorry but if you graduated from college to get a 20k a year job you failed when it came to choosing a major. Hint if you only had to take one math class to graduate you chose the wrong major.

What you’re wearing does matter to most young women. The guys don’t have to get up two hours early just to do your hair and makeup, and then tweak your face to match your final decision on what you’re wearing that morning.

No, I’m not a Crystal. I’m more of a tomboy myself, but what you’re wearing is determined by your mood, which is in turn determined by your hormones and if you’re having your period, which means that something that fit last week may not fit THIS week. In addition, I had to factor in my schedule at OSU, and how long it would take me to get across campus on my bicycle. There were a number of times when I’d arrive at an engineering class wearing a leotard, tights and a short / filmy skirt from my preceding dance class. At the time, there weren’t many women in the engineering programs so I stood out. This was good in a way, the professors called on me more, so I had to have the answer.

You people expect an 18 year old to be mature. Luann is like a lot of young people, male and female, who are struggling to get with it, make decisions that don’t bite, get a girl/boyfriend, and not aggravate their parents too much. Give her a break; she’s still a kid!

Ah yes, style! The worst style I have ever seen is the “skinny jean” forced upon girls/women by the fashion industry. They are so unflattering (even on beautiful girls/women). Now the fashion industry is going back to the wide leg pant that we used to wear in the 70’s. Luann, it is hard, but you have to find the “classics” and stick with them. On the contrary, dresses today are a lot nicer than they used to be.

It is easier being a guy!

Ginny, you’re putting to much stock in Luann’s “innocence”. Let’s not forget that she has a boyfriend, which she badgered the hell out of because he was not spending enough time with her, bullied Tiffany about not having a boyfriend, and much much more. Then again, maybe you’re right it does show how immature she is.

Try a thrift shop, Lu. 1) It’s where the guys shop. 2) You can experiment with different styles on a college student’s budget. 3) You are contributing to a charity.

Thank goodness you didn’t leave the ‘e’ off the end…-the word you are thinking of (from the Latin ‘cuneus" meaning wedge, e.g. cuneiform writing), was routinely used in earlier English to mean ’ditch’ or ‘furrow’.
