I can’t see the comic strip! Can’t see Frog Applause either. Other people have already commented on FA, however, so I know it’s up there. Tried a different browser, but even after emptying the cache, it’s still displaying yesterday’s strip and comments.

    bleeep it!

It happened! It’s the end of the world as I know it. A “red x” instead of DT!

I knew Flight Suit’s “Floooms” would lead to no good!

No Annie, either. However, I can see The City. Maybe that means something…

Well we can just make up our own installment, then! Let’s see…

    I’m picturing a close-up of Maestro’s face, and he’s exclaiming “Son!”

DT is either still muttering into his watch, or he’s standing over Virgil, asking “Why?”

Any further progress is too much to hope for.

Dick’s arm is still too short, and the Maestro’s head is still too big.

Well, in today’s comic, Dick looks sad in the last panel as he sees that the lad is d e a d.

Today’s comic strip is the best Dick Tracy in months! So good in fact, that no-doubt GoComics will censor it so as to ensure Calvin & Hobbes’ subscriber lead.

But I have made sure to save its majesty for posterity and those normal people who are actually sleeping at this hour (3:00 AM ET) who’ll likely miss it too.

That’s beautiful! Every time I turn around somebody on GoComics is honoring me with further fame and immortality!

By the way, using FireFox 3.6 or Safari on a Mac, I can’t even see the rectangular space where the strip’s supposed to be. Nor can I see the little red X.

Not much to miss, just Phil bemoaning the loss of his son, saying “speak to me son” and Tracy adding “He can’y Maestro” !

See it here, along with the OTHER TMS strips

Perhaps the last FLOOOOM destroyed Gocomics (?)

Since censorship is the norm here, maybe Locher’s work is offensive to Liam and he bleeped today’s installment. WTG Liam!

“A frozen wind had begun to blow Over their boots and around their toes” It was the worst blizzard in Naperville History What was happening to Tracy was a total mystery Virgil had been shot and sonny boy too But if they are dead we haven’t a clue Tracy groped and staggered and stumbled and tripped Being it was St. Pattys day, so he may have been ripped Oh what can save him from this snowy doom? Why nothing more than a great big ol’ FLOOOOM

Looks like Dick is once again taking it upon himself to declare a person dead at a glance. We’ve gone into how stupid and dangerous that is in previous adventures. I hate to think of children reading this stuff and thinking that’s the way to act.

Dick Tracy - “He can’t Maestro .. cause I accidentally shot him while trying to hit that other guy… sorry.. its the short arms you see makes it hard to aim.. Good news is Virgil’s shot ricocheted off your massive head and he ended up shooting himself in the spleen… I really should try stopping the bleeding but he’s a bad guy so I’ll just stand here and look sad till the next story starts.

Tess - “Dick there is a phone call for you !”

Dick Tracy - “Ahh here comes the next story now !”

Oh, I get it now. The weeks and weeks of “I’ll kill him!” was foreshadowing. Did someone finally finish his first correspondence course in writing?

The only red x’s I see on this one now are in the son’s eyes. He’s kaput, extinct, deceased, assumed room temperature.

    FLOOOOOMM go bragh!

(Translation: FLOOOOOMM forever! Do not say “Erin go FLOOOOOMM” – that could be considered unfortunate by Irish people who don’t want Ireland to go FLOOOOOMM.)
