To balance out the accidental creation of a stinky, booger-brained boy, Goddess Almighty created an opposite, exquisite being known as... Goddess: Let there be perfection! ...the horse! Danae: Aargh! Teacher: Ok, now I'm starting to enjoy this. Lucy: *heh heh*

Looks like someone’s about to be sent to the glue factory.
watmiwori about 10 years ago
Hell hath no fury like Danae one-upped. The glue factory would be a blessing.

Reminds me of one of my favorite Calvin & Hobbes strisp where Calvin reads a story in front of the class that Hobbes wrote for him and gets an A+.
mickjam about 10 years ago
There is a Calvin and Hobbes arc that is uncomfortably close to this. Not accusing Wiley of plagiarism, I have way too much respect for him. But somewhat unoriginal, this is for true.

Can imaginary friends plagiarise?
tripwire45 about 10 years ago
So, if you follow the “logic” of Danae’s story, goddess created “booger-brained” male, and his perfect counterpart the horse, and then they mated and created girls. Danae’s been pwned.

Nice one!!! a LIVE horse with head attached in bed!!!

Are you suggesting Hobbes is somehow not real?
YatInExile about 10 years ago
You can say that again! Oh, you just did,, didn’t you?
dabugger about 10 years ago
Is dat like ‘Lucy In Da Sky’? Poor Danae’s myth go away from her…..well at least someone is super happy….and teach is enjoying something for a change…..
RedSparx about 10 years ago
Actually, that does explain the cowboy dynamic perfectly—it is all about that magnificent animal, the horse. I think Wiley is onto something there…

Many (most? all?) of Shakespeare’s plays are re-workings ofearlier stories. One wouldn’t accuse him of plagiarism….

As the old saying goes … Steal from one person and it’s plagiarism. Steal from many and its research
As an amateur writer, I’ve had some of my work plagiarized. I could sue, but I l know the pockets aren’t that deep. Too much work for too little cash.

My daughter and wife both love horses and I share NS everytime Lucy is included in the strip…

Way to go Lucy! Had no idea you could type!
Baba27 about 10 years ago
I really really really didn’t mean to imply that it was plagiarism, just that it reminded me of that strip – in a good way. It’s a similar punchline that’s all. Both are equally great.

So true! Horses are perfection!
