Personally, while not a great fan of either, I think I would prefer Calvin’s lunch. If I had brought my own, I think it would have been a bologna sandwich—just plain—bologna doesn’t go with anything ! !! ! !

Oh, great, now I need to find a good deli to get a hot pastrami, corned beef or smoked meat on light rye with swiss cheese, lots of mustard, a dill pickle and cole slaw on the side. Just as a thought, what Barrie needs is a good deli; oddly enough, the only place I’ve found a decent one of those sandwiches is at the Druxy’s outlet at the hospital. go figure.

American ‘cheese’ is pretty gross whatever you have it with.
‘Beany wienies’ don’t sound that great either..except the non-edible type http://www.stuffonmywiener.com/beanie-weenie/.

Hmmm. Cigar butts and gallstone sauce. Might be more popular than MO’s school lunch menu.

I think my favorite strip was Susie trying to play house with Calvin — with them being portrayed as adults.

I saw a news piece awhile back where an American reporter in an Alpine cheese shop inquired as to where he could find the Swiss cheese. The proprietress shot him such a look, and stated “they’re ALL Swiss cheese!”

You can also just make the image width=“100%” since it’s already inside a container. Either way, good stuff!

I just wanted to point out that this comic is the one and only place I have ever seen any reference to “beanie-weanies.” Thus it has puzzled me since I was a kid. What on earth are beanie-weenies? I have NEVER heard of them anywhere else.
