Wow, them ears! She don’t miss much …. Except Gunther….. – A “light bulb” from Luann, to keep Mrs. B “in the dark”… – Hmm….What if the party had a “Gunthie look-a -like” contest?….

Wouldn’t that be nice, IJB! However, I don’t know where he would get the money to fly “home.” I don’t know if he has been in Peru long enough to feel “at home.” I wish Greg hadn’t sent him down there…or, if he had to , have him come back by Christmas… ;)

Maybe that is what they are planning…build a cardboard body and run a Photoshop photo of Gunther, and there you have it: a cardboard replica of him…not too sure about Quill, however… ;)

No, that’s not the “Surprise!” I had in mind…. – More of the planning of the “let’s all remind Mrs. B about her son, by throwing a theme party in honor of her son that she misses so much”…….kind… – It would seem well intended, but anything short of her actually seeing her son could cause her to miss him more. Unless she’s just touched by how much others care for her to go through this length..

Since Rosa felt betrayed by working at an upscale plastic surgery clinic, maybe she and Gunther are now trying to serve the needs of the poor and hungry by working at the Lima branch of Weenie World.

Not sure I’m understanding you Luann. If actually talking live to Gunther on Skype makes her feel lonelier, a party where everyone is there except for Gunther is going to make her feel better? It’s a nice thought Luann, but it doesn’t make much sense.Let’s get back to the other storyline where TJ invests in that building and builds a giant roller disco and Tiffany plays a singing Australian Muse on roller skates.

Some of you guys are not taking Luann’s idea seriously, I think. But what would a “Gunther party” be like? How would it differ from, e.g., a Homecoming Weekend party (shouldn’t there be one one of those coming up soon at Moony U. and probably at Pitts CC, too)?

Evans! No one wants to watch a “Gunther party” with the same old high school crowd. Give us a story with Luann at her own college making new friends. You’re falling back to stories that make sense when they’re in high school. They aren’t in high school, stop trying to get all the high schoolers together. Let them move on with their lives.-Yeah, and at least bring in Dez. And, if you want a party, well, isn’t there a wedding party to plan?

Perhaps Luann’s “Gunther Party” will be akin to the various parties that Mary Richards (played by the actress Mary Tyler Moore) threw on the Mary Tyler Moore Show. They were always a horrendous flop with people feeling very lackluster and uncomfortable. Gee, the idea of it has me humming the theme song to the show…. a wonderful theme song. I will find a link…. here it is if you want to relive (or experience for the first time) this wonderful theme song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Zfti7b31rs

If Gunther attends the party via Skype (as Quill attended his Valentine dinner with Lu), I can see two scenarios:1) It will be the first time someone other than his mom threw a party for him, and he’ll tear up.2) He will be looking h-o-t in those new clothes Sophia took him out to buy.

Fly Mrs. Berger down to Lima to visit Gunther, and while she’s there, give her a major reconstruction at the plastic surgery clinic. She can become the hottest lady in Pitt. Quillie will never leave the house, Sorry, Luann.

I think howtheduck has nailed it; a “Gunther Party” where everyone dresses like the Gunther they knew in high school (wouldn’t they feel like fools if Gunth appears via Skype dressed sharp and stylish?). Kind of a lame and disrespectful idea, but no one will say “nay” to Luanne . And as long as Evans continues to show that he has no idea how to show his characters in a higher education setting, we’ll never see them involved in college activities. He may have paid lip service to having them “graduate”, but really, they will never leave Pits HS .

I’d take a shine to a party for “National Baldness Day.”“National Vasectomy Day” parties, I’m afraid, would be limp.Pancreatic Cancer Parties could have as decorations, “C P”.
