If you use the correct technique what you will see is a flat bottom of a box. There’s no hidden picture there, but it is in 3D. The sides have a depth illusion to them.

    Google “Magic Eye.”

    And “Oh! It’s a sailboat!”

3D stuff doesn’t work for me ;-( I have 1 near and 1 far sighted eye - so at 72 my vision is still good- but no 3D.

i see no 3D images in those sorts of panels either (for the same reason as vldazzle i guess, very short sighted in one eye).

I’ve also always had trouble with 3D images. I’ve recently been diagnosed as having “”Exotropia with convergence Insufficiency.” Not bad enough so that it ever showed up when I was young, but other recent medical issues brought it to the fore. FYI, about 25% of ADD and ADHD kids have a similar vision problem, and it will NOT be detected with normal vision tests.

After staring at that last panel for awhile, I’m seeing an eye doctor.

A long time ago the Army taught me stereoscopic aerial photograph interpretation. I soon learned I didn’t even need the special glasses to do it,, so when the Magic Eye craze hit years later, it was very easy for me to see the 3-D scenes that often baffled other people.

But I don’t see anything in panel 4, even at different magnifications, even rotated 90 degrees. Is Pab pulling our leg? Did something get lost in copying to the comic? I have to question if there is anything to be seen at all.
