poor guntie is excluded from his own party

Wonder if they made sausage, too? Not like Gunther’d want to see how they made that , either….. – They usually say too many cooks spoil the broth… . And yet, in this kitchen, it still ended up spoiling….

knute,that is colander, not calendar.
Templo S.U.D. about 10 years ago
Not calendar, Knute, colander! As in a bowl with holes in it! (In the mean time, what a drag Gunther’s not becoming the center of attention again.)

What is that in Crystal’s hand?
JayBluE about 10 years ago
LOL, I saw that! – BTW, the guy that plays the “bad guy” character on that show, actually did have a guest stint on TNG…..

Next week, we gotta get organized!

What a stack of plates! How many are they expecting? The pot’s not big enough to hold all the pasta they would need to make.

Brdshtt: Oh, gosh, how could I forget her???!!! ;)

Ox has gone back to “dumb”.How disappointing.BTW, I guess this blows my theory that Gunther is in an adjoining room (unless he’s a better actor than Luann and Quill! together).

Hmmm, IS Katie flew the coop about 1/2 hour ago! I know just where she is though…she’s on my hub’s electric chair (you know, the kind that helps one stand up), curled up on a blanket. That chair is a godsend…! Anyway, IS Katie thinks that it is her chair during the day! But, sometime she’ll sneak up on it after my hub’s done for the day. It is still a bit chilly down here, so I think I’ll call it a night! ’Nite all! ;)-——————————————————————-“The fading signals and grey eternal walls of that antique station, which, familiar to them and insignificant, does yet whisper to the tourist the last enchantment of the Middle Age.”(Max Beerbohm, 1872-1956)

They’re going to eat Quill’s cooking? Oh crap.
Sisyphos about 10 years ago
Dare i recall, too many chefs spoil the broth? Someone should have the decency to close that laptop and put Gunther out of his misery.(P.S. Today’s colander-calendar mishap could contribute to my hypothetical break-up of Crystal and Knute; note how she berates him over the breadsticks, too.)

What, You Guys DIDN’T Invite Bernice or Crystal to This “Party”???
BOY, Are THEY Gonna Be PLEASED…..,
reedkomicks Premium Member about 10 years ago
Focused and organized as a well oiled machine. Good teamwork kids. (except maybe knute who didn’t turn on the oven).
William Loster about 10 years ago
I hope the plates Ox is carrying are paper. Although with the way he’s holding them, it seems as if they’re a significant weight. Or maybe just stacked too high, and he doesn’t want them to fall over? -I just can’t fathom why anyone would own that many plates.

The term ‘idiot savant’ is used to refer to a specific condition in which a person is either afflicted by an autism spectrum disorder, or suffers from more generalized mental deficiencies, but demonstrates extraordinary skill is a particular area. Wikipedia reports that 50% of those classified this way are suffering from autism.-People posting to this site have also described Gunther as an ‘idiot savant’. The term does not apply to either character, given the results of work done by medical researchers specializing in autism.

Dictators are more efficient— should they have had Tiff organize it?Committees are more fun— good as it is!

Not to worry, Gunth. It’s the thought that counts.
Chuck374 about 10 years ago
Maybe we’ll see if Gunther had an idea for “Plan D”. Rosa was clearly not happy about working at the “Palace of Plastic Surgery”. She would have been happier working with Ebola victims in West Africa. But Gunther is smart and thinks fast. He’ll come up with an idea to satisfy his girl.

How many of us have been asked, “Why did you get a bowl with holes in it?” I have.
Argy.Bargy2 about 10 years ago
Since I’ve met a few autistic kids in my lifetime, I’d have to believe that you haven’t if you consider Gunther to be autistic. Autism isn’t just about being socially backward or shy. It runs a continuum of behaviors, but all are more serious or severe than anything we’ve seen Gunther do.-People honestly shouldn’t use words like ‘autism’ so casually.

We’ll return to "The Five Stooges Throw A Dinner Party" after this word from PLAID!Join the fashion sensation that’s taking the haughty coo-coo-culture of the cut-and-paste crowd of the clinicas of Peru by storm!PLAID!(Available wherever massive bolts are sold.)

According to the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders as of 1994, for a diagnosis of Asperger’s Disorder, the person must have “severe and sustained impairment in social interaction, and the development of restricted, repetitive patterns of behavior, interests and activities that must cause clinically significant impairment in social, occupational or other important areas of functioning.”-I just don’t see that as a description of Gunther.
Argy.Bargy2 about 10 years ago
Why would someone as smart and complicated as Crystal want a guy as dull as Quill?
vldazzle about 10 years ago
I also haven’t seen anything about the pasta sauce being ready, so draining the pasta now? Colander and sauce should be waiting when the pasta is cooked, if they were organized. And most ovens take about 15 minutes to be hot enough for the bread sticks + time to cook.

Help me here, folks. Is this a noun or and action verb?

Do you know the meaning of the word ‘chutzpah’?
doverdan about 10 years ago
Mom is going to arrive with a boyfriend in tow.
Argy.Bargy2 about 10 years ago
‘Chutzpah’ is a Yiddish word used to describe an act of great nerve or boldness.-To me, telling someone who lives with a person who has a particular medical condition that you can’t expect them to have symptoms that are ‘perfectly comparable’ to someone else with that condition is kind of the definition of ‘chutzpah’.
Argy.Bargy2 about 10 years ago
kinda boring, both for Crystal and for a lot of us who keep hoping that we’ll get to see Luann meet new friends in college and start to morph into an adult….
JayBluE about 10 years ago
Which is, in essence, what happens at comedy roasts….
Argythree about 10 years ago
Spoiler Alert on tomorrow’s comic.-Someone actually called it!
ORMouseworks about 10 years ago
I know a lot of people have asked you this same question, but why do you even bother to read Luann?…Wait, I know! Your day job is being a Critic! =-O
