So, it’s Otis in the window-seat, which I’m sure surprises none of us. The “Keep on script or you’ll join him, Mel!” parallels the correct line of the script right about here, spoken by Jonathan to Mel’s character is, “Remember what happened to Mr. Spenalzo can happen to you too.”
Retired Dick Tracy cartoonist Dick Locher is on the front page and an inside story of Positively Naperville harnessing the help of Dick Tracy and The Grinch to encourage local readers to shop local this holiday season. The article is here http://www.positivelynaperville.com/2014/12/03/grow-heart-holiday-season-2/37852 and you can see the whole issue here: http://www.positivelynaperville.com/latest-issue including a few of Locher’s cartoons scattered through the issue. There is at least one small drawing of Dick Tracy on page 7.
Good morning to all my friends. What will Dick and Liz do now? Will Mel heed Gruesome’s warning? Will Gruesome ice him while the play continues? Will Dick realize this is not part of the play? Tomorrow may tell. Good comments all.@Neil Wick: thanks for the links to the stories. Y’all have a blessed day my friends.
I was just thinking… since Tracy has been around since 1931, has he ever been featuredin The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as either a float or a balloon? I dont ever recall seeing him… we need to change this in 2015, lol!
Looking at Agate Aggie Stone, one can’t make a call on a possible Motherhood relationship to Gould’s Later Day (‘76 &’77) characters Perfume Plenty and her cousin Dade Plenty
. Although, they were both a Niece and a Nephew of her sister Gravel Gertie
Sure there is no connection, but her Hair Style and Nose, sure makes her look as if she wasJunior Steele Tracy’s mother. And ahead of real mother Mary Steele, who died from a blow to the head, from a Golf Ball in Dec. 1961 !.
I suppose some of those remarks are “stage whispers” rather than being projected for the audience. Even so, it could become apparent that something unscripted is happening, and if Tracy is alert, he should be able to take a cue. What will that stage manager do?

Can actually hear Boris Karloff’s (and/or Raymond Massey’s) voice saying the last line!

“Funny, I don’t remember this scene.” “Oh, you’ve seen this play before?” “Actually, I wrote it…”

I love Mel’s reaction in panel 2. And Gruesome is very ominous indeed.I don’t want Gruesome to be arrested yet – I want to see the rest of the show!

@tsull2121: maybe if enough of us fans contact Macy, maybe they will have a Tracy balloon in 2015. Y’all have a blessed day my friends.

Sydney, I am a long time admirer of your Dick Tracy knowledge but don’t you mean Dec. 1965?

One of the Team Tracy members is celebrating a Birthday today. That is all I am going to say. I value my life.

So has everyone in the audience just heard that there’s a dead janitor in the crate, and Gruesome and Mel mentioned by real name, not character name?
