Interestingly, when a man reports on something that someone else has done, he’s providing information. If his wife does the same thing, she’s gossiping. No double standard there, John, right?
History was later rewritten. Connie met Dr. Pablo de Silva in South America. She got pregnant with Lawrence, but they didn’t marry. She married a guy named Pete but they later divorced. http://www.fborfw.com/char_pgs/interactive/index.php?id=connie#viewingarea
Yes – Lawrence’s father. A South American doctor. A black man – which is why Lawrence is bi-racial. He did not want to move to America with Connie so She flew home while pregnant with Lawrence, divorced him and raised Lawrence alone. She eventually married Greg who had two older daughters. Lawrence met his father as an adult.
That wasn’t a spoiler. He gave no information about future stories. It’s just that Lynn changed the history slightly in later years. Capricorn9th who posted after you did, however has spoilers in his post. He also had it wrong. Connie was never married to Dr. de Silva. (At least not according to the revised biography.)
Ellie’s mother looks perplexed. Guess John was listening in on the conversation. I though Connie had a relationship with Lawrence’s father. Never knew they were married. Now that I think about it Ted could be Lawrence’s father as well as Michael. Both Michael and Lawrence could be half brothers. Wow.
Gossip is giving the truth just enough of a tweak that it sounds more interesting. For instance giving your opinion of the events rather than the facts

Seemed more like the Cliff’s Notes than a case history to me.

Heck, I appreciate the history. I can’t keep some of these stories straight.

Where can one get access to “Lynn’s Notes”?

No, but she’s engaged now… to someone NOT Ted.

Say, John’s enlightened! He’s recognizing it’s not gossip; it’s biographies on the History channel!
Plus, in this day and age, women discuss sports, TV shows, games, etc. and men often do get the goods on what’s happening in relationships!
Times have changed!

Is it really “gossip” when you are talking to your mother?
