I think he was resigned to going back to prison long ago. After all, he planned to reveal the body in the window seat ever since he put it there. So, she wonāt allow him to write to her from prison? How can she stop him.?
Took a long time for Con Security to āwake upā to some activity at the Gruesome event. Like Tracy has been, in this tale , flat of foot, and slow off the mark ?.So weāve got to go back to the theory that it might have been bystanders (can we guess - a little āchargedā ?) That phoned the police, disturbed, maybe thinking Al Goreās Armageddon was about to take place at the Monstercon ?A report of āsome sortā must have reached Tracy, as āunrealisticā, amusing and āself servingā as that seemed to be to several yesterday.
Here we have it in āblack and whiteā from the Author that only now was some āofficialā activity (actually) taking place. The numerous theories of maybe it was this, or maybe that, apparently to keep their stories in lock step with the developments, as they came along now seemed out the window and like Tracy no longer in the dark ?
Seems Neil selected his āblack and whiteā strip example from the Houston Chronicle quite ācarefullyā yesterday, had he used the strip for Dec 16th (the following day), it would have (vividly) revealed car lights, street lights and night skys. Net result, his more āmutedā example with cars close to lighted buildings (reflections on nearby walls) helped to mask the darkness of the night during the play, thereby avoiding the sharper contrast with yesterdays strip.
A couple of things. Gruesome appears more grotesque in the passing of time. Note the progression in panel 2 from October (panel one). The Sunday strip still amazes me with the different heavier inks and the tonal coloring (last panel). I much prefer the dailyās cleaner look. No offense to anyone.
āCaptainās Logā¦ this is the third day weāve spent in the same rut. I think the crew is getting restlessā¦ I fear a mutiny. It seems that the Head of Entertainment has resigned himself to his fate and isnt even attempting an escape. Thatās fine.. it will make things much easier for the Keystone Kopsā¦. I mean, our ace security team to take him down and apprehend him. Funny how lately they have seemed to rely more on outside help than their own abilities to solve crises. I might have to talk to them about this.ā
Good morning Tracy fans. Before we get too far away from this story line, any of you who hasnāt seen Arsenic and Old Lace yet, it will be shown on TCM next Tuesday the 30th at 8:30 EST. Itās well worth setting your DVR to record.
Excuse the typos in the comment I just posted, but I think you can understand my points. āYour hypothesis that itās darkā should say āyour hypothesis that itās daylight.ā
The numerous theories of maybe it was this, or maybe that, apparently to keep their stories in lock step with the developments-āāJeez, Syd ā tell us what you really feel.I donāt know, maybe itās because Iām a writer, and as a reporter worked with cops, have a little knowledge of the laws, and have been to such conventions, that I still stick by what I said Sunday (and Monday). I donāt tailor my opinions to be in lock step with anyone, so I hope you werenāt aiming that at me.Truth is, I really donāt understand your complaints.Fight breaks out, call the cops. Pretty basic, wherever it happens ā a bar, a convention, a city park.Thereās no evidence to suggest security didnāt call the police as you claim, (complete with lame political trash; if I wanted politics, Iād watch cable news).Doesnāt matter why con security called the cops first, and then approached the troublemaker. (Iād go with, āHeās bigger than me, and I donāt want him strangling me; letās call the cops.ā)And, really, Syd ā that crack about Neil implying some little conspiracy theory. For shame, Syd.
" So, she wonāt allow him to write to her from prison? How can she stop him.?" By not giving him her address? As for Gruesomeās appearance, the difference could be that heās wearing stage makeup.
Also, re writing someone from prison, I think the prison authorities can block your letters from going to certain people if they request that. (Like the victims of stalkers.)
