Gil is Henry Blake, and Kaz is “Painless” Waldowski (in his dreams, that is).

These references are as outdated as Kaz’s hairstyle

Speaking of references, I was kinda expecting a post Christmas reference betwbeen Gil & Mimi (or Kaz) including a “Yule Log” in conjunction with the state title!

In all reality , the openner against Farm and Fleet HS being played on the deck of the carrier Enterprise cruising Lake Erie is a Milford first .

With the 70’s TV show references, that Kaz pose in P3 is ripe for a Fonzi-esque “Ehhhh.”

Today’s strip is what we in the industry refer to as, “I don’t feel like doing anything clever so I’ll just write some random crap that has nothing to do with the story.” Yes, that’s the technical term for it.As far as the M*A*S*H references being outdated, you know Milfordites are decades behind modern times, so to them it’s pretty current.But hey, why is a student replacing batteries in the PA system? Doesn’t that sound like someone else’s job, someone like, oh, I don’t know, ME? Well, at least MUT isn’t phoning it in today.

In “Gilpa, the Movie”, Elliot Gould plays Gil and Donald Sutherland plays Kaz, with Sally Kellerman as Mimi. It is still 1970 in Milford, isn’t it?

Bobby is almost as tall as Gil but has like a 28 inch inseam.

Gee ‘whiz’ where did Rubin and Whigham dig up this character? Radar was a least funny. This ‘whiz’ of a manager is not!

Actually I’m not so much reminded of “M*A*S*H” and I am of “All About Eve,” with Bobby in the Anne Baxter role and Gil in the Bette Davis role.
