Yeah. I don’t get it either.

Understand the language “Wife” is important to survival in marriage.

Being able to speak wife fluently is how you survive 50+ years of being married

rosetta stone is about translating a language you don’t know to one you are familiar with. hence being able to translate when your wife says “i’m fine” to what she really means

Speaking as a former “wife”, I got it right away. I figured that it was going to be either “wife” or “teenager”.

I have no need to speak “wife,” but do sympathize with Odin. And I appreciate a tactful salesperson….

“Wife” has the advantage that you always have some basic knowledge in “woman” and “mother”, sometimes also “sister”.

“Teenager” is incomprehensible for anybody else since it changes its vocabulary every now and then.

Um, yeah, Odin. That’s not going to work. It is physically impossible for any human male to understand wife-speech. Ya just can’t do it!

Actually, I think you may be able to translate “wife”…but no matter what you do or say….you WILL be wrong and in trouble….but you get points for trying

Well, the salesman can’t be expected to admit that the Wife module is only 46% accurate in controlled tests, and that was with loving, cooperative wives. Still, that’s impressively good results for a very challenging topic.

The Legalese module, alas, has failed repeatedly in alpha testing; several units caught fire in the process. Legal action is anticipated.

You need to be more specific. “Frigg” is its own special language.
