Thanks to Three Steps Over Japan for the coding links. I just received the latest blog post, and hope to look more thoroughly after I take some rest.
I mentioned a few weeks ago that the GoComics editors had a contest on their blog where 5 winners would get an archival print of their favorite strip from 2014. I submitted my favorite from Endtown. It arrived today. Weren’t they all cute back when we first met them?
Now it is getting like a slasher film, the girl goes alone into the secret passage while the guys go back to the fight. This sure seems like a formula for disaster in the making.Preheat oven to 375, (350 for dark pans)Ingredients:2 cups secret passage sift well and add traces of poison gas, Holding back half of the gas.1 TBSP Chlorine, Mustard, or Cyanide, (blood agent may be substituted)1 Cup clueless female character (may be found in stereotype aisle at market)1/4 Tsp Rabid Raccoon, (warning very strong may need to use less) Make sure it is completely dead before adding.1 Oz. Irving1/2 Lb. Fresh Chick(en)1 Lb. Fresh Mouse (apron optional)Combine ingredients in Secret passage with lights out and add gas. Stir well and add clueless female stereotype at the end. Wait 48-96 hours for results.
And once again, neither one has commented on the state of their battered and bruised chief.I’m guessing the Chief can’t show what’s left of his face to his wife until Chic has been found.
Panel four: I’m reminded of once when I was a kid (Pre-PC)and I was with two of my friends (yes, I had those). We weren’t doing anything at the moment when one of them said he had to go home and do some chores. I remembered I had some things to do and said likewise. The other guy said “Well, I’m not doing anything.” The first friend and I looked at each other like the two lizards there. We realized we were thinking the same thing and started laughing. No, we didn’t put him to work, but the idea was funny.
Hey, guys (especially Aaron). I recently discovered this comic (through a link from Skin Horse). I’ve gone through the archives, and I really like the comic’s depth, and the way it recognizes that the world isn’t black and white (metaphorically), and that simple answers are seldom real answers. These are depressingly rare insights.
Now, it seems that Aaron is asking for money through Patreon, apparently his health is bad or something? I’m trying to decide whether I should sign up. Well, I’m a quite successful software engineer, currently working with Earth observation satellites. It pays well, and I could probably easily afford to part with $100 or more per month if I thought it would be worth it.
Unfortunately, few of the incentives Aaron has put up there really interests me. I don’t need postcards or original art. I don’t need my questions answered in some podcast. I’d just like the story to go on. Whatever else I might want from this life, are probably things Aaron can’t help with. But, if I don’t get something in return, is it then worth it? How can I justify pledging that much?
Boss man warned the two minions that they might find other bodies in with the raccoon, implying that the raccoon killed them. But if Kirbee finds them, she’s immediately going to assume it was the poison gas, and she’s going to say so when she returns from behind the walls. Boss man’s not containing this fiasco very well.
I wonder if these two were the same ones responsible for guarding Jim and Holly when they escaped.I have kept up with the story but been off grid for a bit.But I agree with some……is Jim dead?? or evolved.

I see. The two guards are going to delegate their responsibilities. Let’s see where this may lead.

I hope she is able to find them. They aren’t in the walls tho. What will she do if she does findd Jim? Alive?

What kinds of things do people normally find behind the walls of old buildings?

Well, if you don’t get to them right away, they start to smell bad, attract flies and ants, and so on…think of what that’ll do to their resale value.
Melkior almost 10 years ago
Aaaand her name just got changed to “Patsy.” Also her role.
But if you want anyone trying to find a way into those tunnels and possibly meeting Holly and Chic in the process, it’s her.
Thus did selfishness work to the advantage of our heroes.

Not…the brightest bulb in the store, is she?

I start to be afraid that she shouldn’t be allowed to go alone behind walls.

Now I’m starting to be afraid that Jim is still alive.

why would everyone mutate into the same type of lizard? Be more interesting if we had a variety .

But they’re not behind the walls, they’re in the laundry room. I get the feeling it’s going to take a verrrrry long time to get to the actual fight!
Melkior almost 10 years ago
I’m guessing that the two bozos know already that there is a possible entrance via the laundry room and they’ll send Kirbee there.
