Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
The best one for Elly to talk to about this would be God. He is available 24 hours a day and can be contacted from any geographic location. Such service cannot be beat!
Whatâs âsaidâ is said and can not be âun-saidâ. Calk it up to âyou were only sticking up for Connieâ and forget about it. Get on with your life. Look on the bright side. Itâll be a âcold day in h_llâ before John askes you to âfill in at the officeâ as his assistant.
Yeah yeah.if you say so.(You bought the whole farm there, didnât you?)-âââ-Even if you donât share someoneâs religious beliefs, you should respect them. After all, itâs what youâd want from them, right?
Reminds me of the Nancy White song, âFree Floating Anxiety.â (Like Lynn, Nancyâs Canadian!) Tried to find a youtube link but it doesnât seem to be there.
Gosh, I didnât know Elly was Irish. It sounds like sheâs entered the land of Irish Guilt, where you question every mistake youâve ever made, and fill in the slack time by questioning the things that werenât mistakes.-Hmm? Why yes, I am Irish. Howâd you know?
The frustrating thing about being a writer (which I am to a small degree) is that my imagination works over time. If I need to talk to someone about an important matter or if Iâve done something for which I should apologize, I have the conversation a hundred times â in my head. I make my own arguments, answer my own questions and before the conversation ever takes place, I have worked it to death â ad nauseam. Most often, I beat myself up over trivial stuff that is easily resolved. I imagine every possible scenario. When the confrontation does take place, I have blown the situation so far out of proportion that the person I am talking to has no idea what Iâm so worried about! Oh well, thereâs nothing like being prepared for the worst!
I think her reaction to the wedding was perfectly naturalâŠTed was not kind to her good friend Connie, she has no reason to mince her words about it. If Irene is caught in the middle, it would be hard to believe she didnât know it. Women agonize too much about these thingsâŠif the shoe was on the other foot and it was Ted who said something insensitive to her or John, he would have forgotten it long before now and he sure wouldnât be losing any sleep over it.
Itâs now called âhaving no filterâ meaning the person blurts things out without processing through the brain first. Runs in my family and yes, we do have Irish and Scottish genes.
