Even though I hadn’t asked, thanks for that tip. I can’t believe I didn’t think of it on my own since I have been doing that in the “Non Sequitur” archives when the comic doesn’t quite fit the page.
Nowadays all baseball teams play night games. For an extra tidbit: It wasn’t until August 8, 1988 that the Chicago Cubs finally got to play their first home night game at the now with lights Wrigley Field in Chicago, although it was rained out after a few innings.
Lucy is being quite sincere in her own twisted way. (I mean we’re not talking a Rhodes Scholar, you know…..) For all the angst the Cubs fans went through when they finally started to play night games, night games would’ve been played decades earlier if not for the outbreak of WW II.
@Nun’Ya BidnessThanks! My Work Placement is in Business Administration for a large charity company which specialises in orphaned children, domestic violence.. etc. I heard that they desperately need somebody for Admin duties. When my placement ends, I should have enough experience to apply for Business Admin jobs elsewhere but I’m taking it one step at a time
Russia finally did away with that stupid daylight savings time. I wish the USA and Canada would follow suit.Congress determines when time changes become official. You need to contact your representative and tell them to abolish this nonsense permanently.

That candle’s going to be quickly extinguished thanks to the batter’s hard swing which also knocks Charlie Brown’s clothes (sans underwear) off.

I was enjoying the early light this morning and then remembered we lose it over the weekend. Stupid daylight savings time, which does no such thing.

I have cursed the darkness when I got out of bed in the middle of a pitch black night only to stub my toe on one of the bed posts
