I’m afraid that everyone has missed a key point: that building is a Quantum Science Museum. The observer influences the state of the system being observed.
When it comes to this comic strip, Schrodinger’s cat is out of the bag.
To paraphrase Will Rogers: I never metaphysician I didn’t like.
This strip has a real penchant for killings being done in public, at the embassy, at the circus, and now, apparently, a try at one at the ‘science msm’
Wish Grockstein was still here, he could give us a heads up on that Science Museum and Brozman using it for so many “paste up” ,panels. Paticulatly, using it mostly on all his OBZOZKY looking buildings designs
I’m still enjoying a chuckle on his “Police Hooters” building sign.
Collectors of original art sould try to get one. One day they could be worth someting, just like stamps with flaws.
I tell you, it’s a good thing he got in a little “leg work” in escaping that Tiger. ‘Speed’ in ‘running away’ to HIDE - is going to come in mightily useful before this is all over.
Sydney, I agree, we miss Grok. His comments were often the highlight of this strip. I really enjoy all the other regulars, too. Why else would we keep coming back?
You will note that in panel one, Tracy has his eyes closed and a blissful expression on his face. He’s not actually reading the script, he’s fantasizing over what he hopes it will contain…
VistaBill–if you think the Science Museum is a cut-and-paste, you’ve not been looking closely enough. Using the latest in spy technology, I have identified two differences between the pictures of 5/4 and today: first, the shading on the right wing of the roof is different; second (and more interesting), two windows immediately to the right of the entrance have disappeared between 5/4 and today. Obviously the Disappearing Windows are critical to the plot.

Just you wait - for the next couple of weeks, almost every stip follows the same pattern as today… Two panels of dialogue by Tracy and/or other members of the troupe followed by one panel of Johnny “The Blank” Nothing offering us some ominous dark comment via thought balloon.
Look at Johnny Nothing’s/The Blank’s chin. Perhaps that’s Bruce wayne under the gauze mask!
Maybe the “World’s Greatest Detective” feels theatened by our boy Dick!!!!
Jr. Tracy vs Dick Grayson. Who would win in a cage match???
:)
puddleglum1066, - In smart, modern art circles that shading is what is called a touch of “disguise”, to fool us. There is no explanation for the missing windows. Photocopy machine running out of ink ? ;)
I suspect the modification to larger is to make it look ‘big enough’ to seat an audience watching the expected play

I am thinking that soon Dick Tracy will be a thing that I won’t be looking at. It is getting soooo ridiculous.

It appears to take up the entire block now and the more I look at it, it’s getting taller.

That’s just like his first ‘masterpiece’ (festooned with studs on the wall) when he joined the Team – i.e Jack’s Casino

Today is superbly drawn. I hope there’s a lot of action in the near future.
