“Credentials” are pretty easy to print up and laminate at Kinko’s.

If I ask for credentials from a solicitor, how do I know they aren’t fake?

“Nothing is too good for you, Dick Tracy”, the note reads. Does this mean Dick’s won the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes?

Joe-Allen “Joe” Doty said, “I knew there as a note taped on the rock and I was mocked for posting that yesterday.”

That’ll teach people to not mock you, Joe!

He had no gun today. suppose we will have another week of nailbiting suspense looking at the broken window. I still remember the thread with gravel gertie that seemed like it would never end…..

I suppose it’s better than the note which read “Your window is broken. Call Ace Glass, 555-1212” which I saw in a movie some years back.

Now, why do I get the feeling this “murder who-dun-it” that Dick has been invited to is a really bad idea?

The broken window’s shape will change every day. We’ve probably seen the last of the AMC Pacer, though.

The best thing DT could do is to call the police. and report the incident. (Let a pro handle the situation).

Instead he’ll probably open fire again and kill the trash collector, newspaper carrier, milkman, and several of the neighbors cats and dogs.

Joe-Allen “Joe”, I assume you’re referring to this comment from yesterday:

_puddleglum1066 said, Actually, it looks more like the rock is held together with random pieces of tape._

I saw that and took it as a criticism of the art, not mocking of your post.

The rock that came through the window clearly does not have a not attached to it.. did the note flutter in afterward?

Soooo…nothing is too good for Tracy. That’s why they smashed his window with a note covered rock? Or maybe now the game (murder mystery) is afoot.

There are many types of scams. Always tell a solicitor “No” and slam and lock your door.

I agree, Ray. Like so many of Locher’s Crimestopper’s Textbooks, this one is so stupid that it would actually get you into trouble if you took it to heart, because it implies that as long as you’re satisfied with their credentials, then it’s OK to do business with some stranger knocking on your door.

What continues to impress me is the amount of ways Dick Locher finds to keep Tracy from going to WORK in the mornings.

Heck! He’s dodged the morning shift since November 2008.

He’s a “home-body” now, lets sub-up and send him a “rocking chair” for his birthday. You know it’s TIME to retire when he has to come up against a former Villain’s Grandson !

Would this be based on a solved or unsolved Tracy murder case?
