And Dexter made some jumbo record player helmet thing that he wore to bed to help him study for his French test.

Sounds like a tactic that Paige Fox would try. Of course, I would know nothing about this. And anyway it didn’t work.

More like in the morning you can’t find your history book.

I did something similar( though a lot smarter) I had to memorize lines for a class (about a page) so I took the book one night and just read it a lot of times put the book next to my head and went to sleep, when I woke up I could quote the whole thing.

I used to learn the lyrics to songs in my sleep. Of course that came from putting a tape in the radio, turning the volume down low, and going to sleep to the music. Bet I could have studied for tests that way too as long as I recorded my notes and played them back as I went to sleep. But I never did learn anything the way Linus is trying to. Though to be honest I never tried this method either.

Maybe he should try praying with his hands upside down…

He’s more likely to end up as a featherbrain if he sticks to that approach.

I tried to learn another language when I was a kid by playing a record when I went to sleep. One time the record skipped and All I could do in the morning was stutter in Spanish.

The answers could come to your brain, Linus.

An old classic. Always remembered this one. And somehow I always suspected that Linus didn’t test this theory well beforehand.

LInus is advanced… most folks don’t discover study-by-osmosis until college.

Archie Andrews once tried the helmet-turntable trick in studying for his Spanish test the next day. Trouble was, the needle got stuck in the groove: “SI! — (click!) — SI! — (click!) — SI! — (click!) — SI!… (etc.).” Oh, well. Back to the ol’ drawing board!

Had a teacher once who would say before a test that some of us “should put the textbook under our pillow and pray for osmosis.”

@Snoopy_FanThank you so much for your kind comment on Tuesday. Sorry if I was overeacting but I’m really dedicated to donating blood. I agree with you completely that I need to take care of myself. I will do so. Thanks.-I’ve actually been suspended from giving blood. It had a notification on my page when I logged into my account. It’s a temporary suspension which will end on 25th June. I can donate after that date. I’m trying not to get disheartened and upset about it. I’m taking your advice as usual.-I hope your Spring Break is awesome! You need some time to yourself. Otherwise you go crazy… Correct?-Thanks again for your comment. I appreciated it more than you’ll ever know.-I was wondering… Would it be OK to send you a voice recording tomorrow night? I would like to wish you a Happy Easter. -Have a great easter weekend! I will be thinking of you and I hope that you have fun whatever you choose to do.

    xxx

It doesn’t work if you don’t take advantage of gravity. You lay your head on your mattress, put the book on your head, then put the pillow on top to keep the book from sliding off.

Worked for me (also caused some really interesting dreams).
