Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Google [hosts file]; usually the first hit is from mvps.org, and you can bypass lots of troublesome stuff by pointing their URLs at ‘localhost’, IP address 127.0.0.1 (your own machine, which we hope has NO spam and malware on it.) And browsing is a bit quicker!
It’s a dumb strip. It makes no sense, even with the understanding that the Republicans are the “party of no.” Besides, the biggest corruption in the news lately is Goldman Sachs, which is in Obama’s administration THROUGH AND THROUGH. Rahm Emanuel, Geithner, Larry Summers all have big ties to Goldman.
“potty” is about how some New Englanders pronounce the word “Party” so the sign is for the “party of no” just done up as a joke……. No other innuendos, Wiley is as great as usual :-)
Before this boils over into another idiotic political food fight, this was just a simple, silly play on the phrase, “the party of no”, which is always applied to the party that’s in the minority and objects to the policies of the majority party.

It’s just a gag, so relax.
So if Larry Craig had just waited until the change of administration, he could have gone through that door and maybe wouldn’t have gotten into all that trouble.
“Did anyone ever call the Dems the “party of no” when they were in the minority?”
Yes, actually, pshearer. The Republican’s throughout the Bush era referred to the Democrats as “the party of no” each and every time they disagreed on anything the republicans wanted to do. How soon we forget.
But since the phrase has come up again, it just struck a silly image in my head. So as much as you’d like to read some sort of political slam in this cartoon, there simply isn’t one. I would have done the same cartoon if the parties were reversed. Again, it’s a common term that’s older than both of us.
Another laugh out loud wonder Wiley. Thanks again for the fabulous art and succinct storyline. I love your visual puns, they are wonderful.
We all claim to hate puns, but I think we all love them! I didn’t realize until I started reading the comments on these toons how much I love them. Miss digtal frog’s contributions…….
@Wiley, where my father used to work, they had the two main toilets, marked “He” and “She”. There was also a third, single room with toilet and shower/bath, unmarked. So my dad had a matching door sign made for “It”. It was on the door until a new company president came along and failed to see the humor.

“gag reflex”
Then again, maybe they are…

I interpret the symbol on the door as “Don’t Go There.”
Is that what you said, Wiley (a few posts back)?
Or, would “don’t go there” be synonymous with “don’t ask, don’t tell”?

Did anyone ever call the Dems the “party of no” when they were in the minority?
I’ve noticed that Wiley habitually denies any political intent, no matter how blatant the bias.
