Laura: What's with you?
Adam: The roof of my mouth. I had cap'n crunch earlier, and it's all torn up.
Laura: Ooh. Cap'n Crunch mouth hurts.
Adam: Yep.
Laura: So, what's in the bowl?
Adam: More Cap'n Crunch. No pain, no gain, y'know?
Thanks Dr Toon, it must have been by some divine decree I saw ur comment. I just got top dentures last week & so far it’s been almost torturous. wearing them alone is painful enough chewing is out of question. I have to wear them to get used to them as painful as it is when I take them off, my only remaining lower front teeth press against my healing, recovering gums & that also hurt, so it’s damn if I do damn if I don’t. like I said I don’t have any lower back teeth, so eventually I get where u are, toughening my gums to chew.
During the years before my retirement, I had the pleasure of having crowns put on all my molars. Thankfully, they work REALLY well, and my “crunch of choice” is still popcorn. :))

I’ve said this before: The trick to eating Cap’n Crunch cereal without shredding your mouth is to take dainty little princess bites of it.

I never had issues with eating Cap’n Crunch. Maybe it’s because it was soggy by the time I ate it (I love drenching my cereal in milk).

You’ve got to give it 2 or 3 minutes in the milk before you dig in. If you can’t wait to chow down, go with Frosted Flakes.

Captain Crunch is my favourite cereal. I guess my teeth and mouth must be stronger than I thought since I never have a problem with it.

I’m pretty much with Montana Lady here, although I don’t have ALL my molars crowned…

Cocoa Puffs can do the same roof-of-the-mouth damage.

I’ve hated Cap’n Crunch ever since my first bowl, precisely because it tore up my mouth. Excuse me … but exactly what is in that cereal???
