I definitely agree that all comics that are not funny do not meet the definition of comic and should be eliminated. I have begun a partial list of so-called comics that are not funny. There’s Batman, Spider Man, Superman, Dick Tracy, Mandrake, Phantom, Flash Gordon … I was going to include Mary Worth, but that’s actually hilarious.

“It suddenly appeared on my page…it is beyond…clever, cute, funny…it’s pure…comic material…the definition of comic.”Or ought to be, but maybe we should have Sgt. Snorkel beat up Dagwood Bumstead for thirty years to make our point?

If it wasn’t for out of context quoting, there’d hardly be any quoting at all.Of course, I’d only ever say that in another context.

Contextomized bigmac13 makes more sense (the part I can not ken is “it seemed to suddenly appear on my page”; really?). —And is truer (whether by accident or by Teresa’s intent, I cannot, will not, tell). But I am troubled lest he be dazzled by having been raised to Sunday star status….

@BrassOrchidI knew that about the width of pictures yesterday. I’ve got an HTML template for posting pictures here. It was a combination of lazy and vanity. But that first one also kept me from working in the other 5 deadly sins.

@Wilbur GarrodI just provide the place for the fishnet stuff. A place for Frog Applause fans to do their lamest efforts to approximate the lame of the old Frog Blog. I’d post more things there myself, but it’s turned into a place for lots of would be spammers to try to join As I type this, there are ~80 memberships waiting for me to verify their spammy intent and delete them.

Add One Mentos:The public, at first hostile, gradually came to believe that the Impressionists had captured a fresh and original vision, even if the art critics and art establishment disapproved of the new style. …In spite of this, photography actually inspired artists to pursue other means of artistic expression, and rather than compete with photography to emulate reality, artists focused “on the one thing they could inevitably do better than the photograph—by further developing into an art form its very subjectivity in the conception of the image, the very subjectivity that photography eliminated”.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ImpressionismTo One Diet Coca-Cola:Still another definition is “a reproduction of emotions relating to repressed experiences, especially of childhood, and the substitution of another person … for the original object of the repressed impulses.”http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TransferenceStand back and enjoy the fun!

If you think I said something, then yes.Reality is 99% perception, 1% projection. It’s sort of like invention, which, in the words of the illustrious Thomas Alva Edison, is 1% inspiration, and 99% perspiration, and occasionally 100% somebody else’s work, properly appropriated and modified.

Why? It did in fact spin off many other comments, but only because there is a great deal of silliness about. You were correct, as illustrated in the Frankenstein_Veto entry.Things must be in order, with nothing added except an unintended context.Everybody plays the straight man sometimes. The jokes don’t work without one.It isn’t ruined. We’ve got over 66 comments, and without any political or religious argument to fuel it. It’s a party.

The wave and particle conspiracy people, of course. There is only pressure. The movement of pressure from greater to lesser is expressed in the illusion of waves and those waves create the illusion of particles.-Nightingale, hovering highHarmonize the windDarkness, your symphonyI can hear you singOf voices in the sky-Moody Blues : Voices in the Sky

Standing wave points form a virtual particle matrix capable of massed commonality, capable of transfer only in discrete packets conforming to the frequencies of the illusory waveforms maintaining the array. The transfer of energy from one wave point to another is called a mass genuflection.
