I don’t want to be too technical ( and I truly loved the concept ), but if he really did run into the wall, the wheel would not have gone thru it. It would have to be drawn differently.
@pschearer “She has refused to allow reruns of her strip so it doesn’t deny some younger cartoonist a shot at success.”.Her property; her choice..Let’s extend the thought:Mark Twain already made his money, his books should be kept out of circulation to help new writers.Stomp out all competition!Pave the way for newcomers!Throw in/out Heinlein, Asimov, Clarke, Longyear, Thoreau, Wadsworth, L’Amour, Hemmingway, King, Dickens, Dickinson, Doyle, Milne, Wells, Vonnegut, Vance, Brand, Bova, Stevenson, Dolly Parton, Michelangelo, Shakespeare, Schmidt, Orwell, Poe, Capote, Lee, Austin, Angelou, Steinbeck, Tolkien, Carroll,….Okay, I beat that thought to death..The only reason to withhold existing work from the populace is if you consider it worthless.
My comment about “Cathy” was in regard to the ever-shrinking comics space in newspapers. I think Guisewite was right. Don’t disagree with me; take it up with her.

Well, the third wall, maybe. If he went splat into the front of the panel, looking out at us, that’d be the fourth wall.

They could have saved this strip for when B.C. ends. Oh, wait. It will probably repeat forever, like “Peanuts”.
