Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Speaking of arms, check out panel 2. Impressive square shoulder on Tracy. Whereâs his elbow? Kinda close to his shoulder joint. Locher must be a student of Pablo Picasso. And looks like I was right - one of those bullets did cut off his fingers.
OK, so Johnny will trip, fall down the stairs, and either be: out cold, hurt, or have his mask knocked off by the fall, or a combinationâŚ(not sure where the stairs came from, but heyâŚwe go with it!) and then Tracy will get his answers, leaving we the readers with a few questions.
Iâm having a tough time understanding what Tracy could be hiding behind thatâs suspended 3 steps down some stairs. Again, I invoke my TARDIS Technology Theory for the Science Museum!
I canât figure out how the Blank is still in one piece. This started in a room full of cops, and not one bothered to challenge him when it became apparent that he wasnât shooting blanks?
In real life, assuming it ever got this far, he would have been challenged and told to drop his gun. If he didnât, and insisted on continued firing, the police would have opened fire on him and at that range, heâd have been shot to doll rags. Even suburban police can figure this out.
And the only cop thats acting will will now continue running ⌠so tomorrow you wonât be seeing the âlong armâ of the Law âŚ
What youâll see are the extraordinary âSHORT ARMSâ of Nancy Palosi (panel 2).
Donât you know Mattie is sitting on the edge of his chair in a soggy pair of Dick Tracy undies saying over and over, âSheer genius! Sheer genius!â And his sidekick, Jeffey, drools.
morrow, Youâre treading on dangerous ground. âBig Lâ must be off today.
Iâve come to the conclusion that their expressions are driven not by the âqualityâ of work but by an over abundance of misguided ideas on the need to defend (and not offend), a âfriendâ. Cost it what it may. If correct, in my books thatâs disingenuous
When a goof occurs, itâs like Downwind Jackson looking the âother. way

Boy, the Science Museum is a vast building! Where are all the police when you need them?

OMG, Tracy actually did something smart and useful in the third panel!
More interestingly, in panel one, we see that Nothingâs right arm has gone from being freakishly short to freakishly long.
Which, I suppose, is why heâs switched the gun to his left hand. Hard to aim when your armâs length is in a constant state of flux.

Yes. It has been getting larger every day. The police are in the audience waiting for the show to resume.

Tracy seems about to deliver the old, âone-twoâ. Weâve got the âoneâ but what happens to the âTWOâ ?
TOO âoldâ to cut the mustard anymore ?

Pannel 1 : - long coat !
Pannel 2 : - no coat, (a jacket perhaps?)
Still canât figure out HOW the Blank âpinchedâ a STAGE gun with âblanksâ and it fired real bullets ?

Where are Tracyâs ELBOWS ?
Heâs leaning against the wall, and the right one looks as if itâs opposite his arm pit
**Impressive Art and Storyline ! A Tribute to Gould and all that. This might pull in a Reuben Award !

I wonder if the Blank had/has an exit plan? Shoot the guy onstage, then give up and confess, âBecause he killed my grandfatherâ?
At least the plot is well-thought out. Yep, no holes here. Tight as a drum.

It looks as if the Blank or Johnny Nothing or whatever the heck his name is is trying to Riverdance down the stairs in panel 3.
Note to DL: Glad you brought back the chase. Problem: Tracy is supposed to be doing the chasing.
fishbulb almost 15 years ago
Uh, shouldnât Tracy be trying to summon help for the guy bleeding on stage in case heâs STILL ALIVE?
