Cathy: For 200 calories, you could eat an entire watermelon... Infuse your body with vitamins... Support your local farmers... Reduce your carbon footprint... And not feel hungry for hours! Or, for 200 calories, you could eat 13 greasy chips. Charlene: I'll take the chips. Cathy: What?? YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO CHOOSE THE MELON! THE CHIPS WERE FOR ME!!

Ladies, ladies. There’s enough for everyone. If not, we can check over at Big Top to see if it’s on the menu.
I was so impressed with Cathy until the last panel. Usually it’s someone else that’s the voice of reason, not her.

I’d choose the melon, too. A whole watermelon is enough for everyone! Mmmm

Watermelon is the best! :) Chips don’t agree with my body’s inner workings anymore, so I guess the choice is taken out of my own hands… :D

Ok, Ok, I’ll share. I’ll just try to get past the seeds.

Don’t forget the dip. You don’t want your chips to stick in your throat on the way down.

It’s a pity that Cathy is really, terribly wrong about the watermelon. A whole watermelon would be around 1300 calories depending on how large it is!

I can’t resist either one!! On WW, watermelon is 1 point/cup and 12 lower fat chips (not baked) are 2 points.

Really??? A whole watermelon is that much, 1300 calories? I thought they were low calorie and great for diets. Eat as much as you want without gult kind of food. I guess not!
See? reading the comics educates a person.

Watermelon and dip?? gagg!!
let’s not discuss the quality of the education.

Some watermelons would be several servings. Some would be dozens of servings. Either way, they simply don’t compare to chips. For compulsive chip-lovers, a whole bag (hundreds or thousands of calories) is one “serving,” and for just about anyone who actually wants a snack 13 chips is just a joke.
