I’m afraid scientific research cannot compute on the basis of what everyone “knows”.

I have nightmares that my kid will be just like Danae…………

BUT!!! soon, another study will show that all that is really good for you.

This somehow ties to the medical research lab where the Scientist found a cure for something. Perhaps Danae can have her next adventure there?

I can see some research projects of her own in the works.

What is it with research in the UK? Every week there is some wacko (or totally obvious) research from there that shows up on “Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me” as an impossible question.

It won’t be long before Danae is bringing home more pay than her dad!

Sooo, What was the final conclusion of the research into what to do with dryer lint that our Congress funded to the tune of a couple of million a few years ago? I missed that.

Most parents don’t have Danae as a child Joe! Wait, I know! You could make a mint off her by marketing her as a form of birth control! Just let people live with her for one week (even that might be too much for the average person) and I bet most of them will be swearing off kids. Why, you could solve the population crises!

Could we get a grant to discover that tension flatulence is nerve gas?

The real money isn’t in research, it’s in R&D for the defense [sic] department. Missile Defense (aka “Star Wars”) is no closer to working (outside a few carefully crafted demonstrations) than it was close to thirty years and untold billions of dollars ago, yet the current DoD budget contains billions more for its development. As the late great Senator Everett Dirksen said, “a billion here, a billion there, eventually you’re talking about real money.”

It’s time we establish some serious research studies to help us determine if certain research studies are a waste of money.

Sometimes what “everyone knows” turns out to be wrong when it’s actually studied properly though.

Stand back Issac Newton, Albert Einstein, Charles Darwin and Stephen Hawking! Science is about to change forever.
