Well, there’s the way out, good for our heroes. Kirbee is being selfless and suicidal. Judging by those cracks forming she will either be crushed or trapped by falling masonry or have to leave with our intrepid crew when the walls come tumbling down.

I hope they run like blazes for the exit, and if the ceiling starts to fall I bet Kirbee will follow them. She is a lizard with a heart the size of her tail. Big.

John Cougar Mellencamp saw something like this..“…When the walls (When the walls) Come tumblin’ down When the walls (When the walls) Come crumblin’, crumblin’ When the walls Come tumblin’, tumblin’ Crumblin’, tumblin’ When the walls (When the walls) Come tumblin’ down When the walls Come crumblin’, crumblin’ When the walls Come tumblin’, tumblin’ Crumblin’, tumblin’ Down” TopWebComics voting links are in my profile. The other day, someone said they hoped Kirbee didn’t leave with Holly and Wally. I, for one, totally disagree..Someone else noted that Kirbee was shocked by what she saw; Holly and Wally have pretty much seen it all. As such, I consider it possible that, even though they are the “good guys,” they may be quite jaded..I mean, Endtown became too corrupt for them, so they moved on. They saw the disaster at Albion West. And we’ve all seen what has been going on in Lizard Town..I like Kirbee’s innocence. I’d kind of like to see Piotr join them. Not everybody Aaron has introduced us to was evil..In the two years we have been exploring these last couple weeks in Lizard Town, one thing I have been screaming for is more upbeat characters!.We’ve already lost Jim – and even if he’s still alive, all he can be now is a super villain – in a strip that doesn’t really need any more villains than it already has..And I’m hoping that Sarah stays lost. If she were to return, the best she could be is a Doctor Smith to our traveling Robinsons. (“Danger, Will Robinson, Danger, Danger!”).On the other hand, perhaps that is exactly what Aaron has up his sleeve! (Imaging Clive saying “Danger, Danger!”)

So, the wall and ceiling are starting to collapse. Kirbee wants to go back and help. You know, I’m starting to warm to her. She’s a simple soul with a good heart. Stupid, dense and probably sometimes more a hindrance than a help. And yet.. I’d love to take her away from the trauma and disaster and start helping her to focus on developing effectiveness. She could be the most loyal of friends.

bless her heart she’s a good person, but the structure is collapsing, going back through that door means certain death. If ANYONE from this racist murder colony should survive it should be her.

Kirbee reminds me of Edith Bunker. She’s naive and comes from a racist background but her heart and soul are better than that and she stands up for what and who she believes in.

I did say Kirbee would do something heroic. She might not be helping them up but she did find the way out.Coyoty says it well. This is Kirbee’s community. A side note……wonder what’s at the top of those stairs……this is too easy, too easy.

I love the last panel where she refers to “people”. She sees them all as the same.

Gotta admire Kirbee for her compassion for the only home she’s ever known. I don’t know how she thinks she can help…Perhaps she can find Clive.…Speaking of “other people”, I can’t help but wonder what Helena, Piotr and even Sarah are doing right now…

I don’t like the look of those cracks in the 4th panel, I hope it isn’t the end for Kirbee. I’d love to see something good happen to her. Mind you, one of the themes of this work is that horrible things can often happen to good people.

Wiley does make fun of and at, but like you said not nasty or mean spirited.

The folks that make Christianity repugnate are the ones loudly proclaiming their connection with God, while not following Jesus words and actions about caring for the widows and orphans, helping the sick, visiting the prisoners, feeding the hungry,, and more. The “Christians” whose actions are to take food away from the hungry, hurting the widows by wanting to get rid of Social Security, Taking Medicare and Medicaid from the sick, and putting more people in prison than in Any other country. This is real and a little teasing is nothing in the light of wrong actions.

Politics in comic strips is always tricky to handle right, isn’t it? I appreciate things for the artwork (“Non Sequitur”), or for the exploration of character (“Stone Soup.”) It’s be the proverbial winter weather in certain netherworldly regions before I agreed with or shared the politics of it all. I’ve sworn off several strips over politics, however.I can’t stand “Pearls Before Swine” for other reasons, largely the failure in the above two mentioned categories—-I don’t like the artwork and I don’t like the characters.

If I’m understanding the clues correctly, “Wandering Pines” on Fox is turning out to be a lot like Endtown. It looks like the town is going to turn out to be a survival community built long before a foreseen apocalypse to save humanity as we know it from a world of monster mutants.
