Dad would be wondering which sport the kid will be a champ in.

My first born’s head size was in the 95th percentile… Those who say the mothers forget the pain are the male doctors. That son is now 30 years old and a biologist working in the Pacific Northwest.

That was exactly my reaction when I saw the baby crowning … then it got BIGGER. So glad I’m a man.

Year: 1945, Place: Evanston Illinois hospital, Situation: My mother was giving birth to her first of three children. The hour was late so the nurse told my father to go home. My father went home, got some sleep and then a phone call saying that his wife just gave birth to a girl. My mother never forgave my father for that one.

Like pushing a watermelon out of a place the size of a walnut.

I remember a co-worker talking about what it was like being his sister’s labor coach and seeing his nephew being born. I thought he was going to make an observation of the miracle of life. Instead, he said “After seeing something that size come out of a woman, I knew no man is ever adequate.”

Apparently, he completely missed all the screaming that accompanied the birth if he thinks any woman would want something that large pushed into her body.

Ok, please, someone tell me what a ‘monitrice’ is….

Might be different if it was the guy giving birth.

to some women, having kids is worth the pain. to the rest of us, it’s like being on a ride that you can’t get off. suppressing panic is a good skill to cultivate.
