I didnā€™t know there was any morale to be destroyed.

Actually, this oneā€™s kind of pathetic, Cartoon Boy. You are just going to have to work harder if youā€™re going to succeed in destroying everyoneā€™s moraleā€¦

I think Rat is wrong. Neighbor bob and his wife didnā€™t get a goose, he goosed his wife.

OK, I was thinking this was heading to something about giving her a goose, but that might have been too much for the comics censor.

I would have advised rat not to kill the goose that laid the golden egg; except Pastis isnā€™t a goose, and gold doesnā€™t smell like that.

So Frankā€™s frankness has led to candid candor. Now if Frankā€™s wifeā€™s name is Candy, then Candyā€™s goose can claim creating calming creature comforts. You gotta love Candy.

Itā€™s all part of the Pastis plot to pun people pitilessly into prostration.

Nothing to do with the wordplay but just curious as Iā€™ve seen this before on Pearls. Is saying ā€˜gottenā€™ a local thing? The rest of the English speaking world would say ā€˜Bob and his wife have got a gooseā€™ if they are suggesting they have had one for some time and they may say ā€˜Bob and his wife have now (or just) got a gooseā€™ if they mean to suggest it was recently purchased. Gotten?

If I were making a goose joke, it would be about a man who canā€™t keep his hands off a woman because he likes the way she looks; whatā€™s good for a gander is good for a goose.

If no one else dare say it, I will. Neighbor Bob and his wife are weird!I feel sorry for poor Goat, having to mouth such sub-standard dialogue.Cartoon-Boy, if you donā€™t straighten out and fly right, your goose is cooked!

as we used to sing at camp ā€œtiptoe through the ducky-doo, tiptoeā€¦ā€ i know, but somehow, singing the same bit with goose never caught on, even if it was more accurate
