I think ice cream already comes in spheres when you scoop them out of their cardboard cylindrical and rectangular prism containers.

No cylinders? Donā€™t they have cups as well as cones?

It would be pretty tough to scoop ice cream into a sphere or a dodecahedron.

I say we start packaging ice cream in rhombic dodecahedra. Theyā€™re space-filling, like cubes, so they can be packed efficiently.

Ice Cream is sold in cylinders. The single serve version is sometimes called ā€œPush Upā€, because you use a stick to push the bottom up through the tube and force the product out the top. The large cylinders are sometimes called ā€œDrumsā€, because they are so big.

The only measurement a true ice cream aficionado cares about is volume!!!!

How about a Klein waffle? Thatā€™d be great.

A waffle pyramid would be okay ā€“ basically thatā€™d work like a cone with ridges. Around here we also see a lot of ice cream ā€œconesā€ which have a wide cylindrical section above the flat-bottomed conic section below.

Technically, a waffle cone should be infinite too, but waffle conical section is too long of a name.

I donā€™t see how those other shapes would be more effective at holding ice cream, or in the case of the cylinder, more exciting.

Though Iā€™m with Peter. If the planes are indeed infinite, Iā€™d get one.
