Obviously a Medicare-insured patient. Just hand him a prescription for hospice, counsel him on ‘end-of-life’ and send him to your attorney partner so he can get his affairs in order…

I like how the technician is standing at the ready with the paddles, just in case that bill puts the patient TOO FAR under.

This is how I feel about the impact of Obamacare on my medical insurance, too.

Without Obamacare, my wife could not get health insurance due to "pre-existing conditions.’ Period. Not at any cost or for any reason because of a para-thyroid condition she had taken care of a few years ago. So: after a life time of hard work, putting our children through college, saving, investing, doing things the right way, we faced bankruptcy and financial ruin if she needed one hospitalization or had one serious medical issue. Thank goodness for Obamacare (even though the premiums are pretty steep but we do offset them with an HSA to some degree).

I have known several people who were vehemently opposed to The Affordable Health Care Act. They ALL had good insurance, a couple of them who were 100 per cent covered by GOVERNMENT insurance.

Some organization (it may have been the Young Turks) did an on-the-street interview with some people and televised it. The people were asked two questions. Question 1, "What do you think of Obamacare? The interviewees were strongly opposed to it. Question 2, “What do you think of the Affordable Health Care Act”. Yep, they liked that one and thought it was a good.

My wife underwent 2 years of cancer treatment including palliative care and excellent hospice care, and we had less to than $100 out of pocket under Senior Advantage (Medicare).I miss my wife, but I have no complaints about the care she received or the cost.

Jim in CT: At least you are in CT. In TX, the AG would find some criminal charge to file against any complainant. How dare question an insurance company – they paid most of his campaign expenses.

as a retired federal employee I was insured with the /s/ gold plated insurance. So how come my PPO insurance cost me(so far) $8,000 out of pocket for my heart attack-3 days in hosp, $87,000 just for the emergency surgery.Back when my wife was still working her union got her a far better fully paid for health ins and dental insurance. But everyone complains how govt employees get such great health ins. All I can think of is that as a govt employee(or family) we do not get turned down due to a “preexisting condition”, but most workers with health ins get a far better deal.I have seen 1 govt HI that is platinum plated, gives you everything, with no co pays. And its only $1,000 a month

They want him “almost” alive – that way they can milk the system. Heaven forbid they cure him, he wouldn’t come back and maybe the dr wouldn’t be able to a new set of clubs.

I think Sol’s death scene in “Soylent Green” movie would be a great way to go….if it were voluntary and not mandatory.
