If you FRY okra, it’s not a waste! I love fried okra. I remember the first time I ever tried it. My grandma said I was gonna try something I’d never had and I asked what it was, she said “Okra.” I told her I didn’t like it. How could I like something with such a funny name. Well, guess who ate it ALL after everyone had gotten some!
hmm.. I was with Betty on this one, if you like something you can make lots of it and eat it for a while.. but they implemented it wrong. If you like something is because you already have eaten it and know how it tastes (and know hoe to cook it). I had to google what the heck is okra.. doesn’t look too appealing (not much a fan of green stuff, though I am aware they are good for my health, though basil is essential in some dishes I really like, I eat lettuce nearly every day and spinach is a good green alternative in most cases)
I like fried okra, too, although I’d never seen or heard of it before I went to live Florida. I can understand why some wouldn’t like it, though. I guess you either love it or hate it :-)
hmm.. I’ve been thinking about that since I saw the comic. Now I am thinking about a crepe with spinach and mushrooms (rooting for healthy food), but with some kind of cheese over it, as just plain is too mushy for my taste. But not for three days
I have never liked okra, I’m not going to say maybe it was the way my grandma made it, may she rest in peace, wouldn’t want her to reach down from heaven and smack me.

Okra is also good pickled, but for the most part, it’s swamp slime.

You have to know how to cook it. It’s good fried or stewed with tomatoes on a bed of rice. I’d like to try it in gumbo.

Fried okra is a good, good, thing. Other okra — no!

I agree with hubs. Okra is disgusting, even when fried. :-/

Okra is the only vegetable I won’t eat.

Breaded and fried isn’t. Any other form is.
