    Finally, the police have arrived.

This is the most we’ve ever seen of the Munro brothers in one strip, I think.<br

Mr. Bigg said he was going to do something about the missing brother? I wonder what. Maybe punish the perpetrators? (… although they may be eliminating some of each other, according to BB-Eyes’ objective)

There’s also a possibility that Mike might wind the clock back a bit, and follow events outside the building till they catch up to what’s happening inside.

Too bad Mr Bigg will escape on his helicopter and most of the gold was already taken away by the van to a safe place. Perhaps the van had already taken several trips to haul the gold. The problem now is that T-Bolt does not seem to have any idea where that is since she was surprised when she saw the gold. As for the rest of the Blackhearts, it is a case of save your own skin.

    Well, let’s see……

BB Eyes and his crew are going to take out Melies and his crew while Melies was planning to take out Mr. Bribery and now we have the cops surrounding the place.

I do love a certain level of chaos in this events….and now we have it.

Omirgosh! I hope everyone has plenty of ammunition, because the hammer is about to fall in Ace Tower! At this point, with the cops surrounding the building already, it’s academic who got the message out for the cops to come. Maybe Honeymoon alerted Mysta who alerted Tracy. Or maybe T-Bolt was the one who ratted finked narced squealed betrayed did her civic duty. Heck, maybe even Blaze Rize “turned” while out playing delivery person again! There will be feverish action by the varied alliances or groupings the next few (Real Time) days; the shoot-out will probably be most displayed in the Sunday strip, though it might start in Saturday’s strip….

Obviously named for the 1960s Memphis wrestler Sputnik Monroe and his various partners (“brothers”) over the years (Rocket, Flash, and Jet—I don’t remember if there was actually a Satellite although there could have been since I seem to remember that there was once even a Black Monroe brother), Joe’s portrayal of the brothers look very much like them. All that is missing is the white skunk-streak down the middle of their hair which was the trademark of the Monroe’s..

So. Which is more likely to be part of the denouement here:

Honey, Annie, and maybe even Diet Smith escaping from the Blackhearts’ tower riding those mini Space Coupes

    or

Mr Bribery is seen hurtling off into the distance, hanging on to an out-of-control mini Coupe?

Perhaps we should lend Donald Trump to the City’s MCU.

Trump said, he’s LEADING “everywhere”, while Chester’s man (with the job) seemingly *- ‘Leads from Behind’, his posterior firmly planted in a chair behind his office desk.<p.There may be a Zipa Dee Doo Dah element at ‘play’ here . . . seems he gets a “wonderful feeling” in’ that chair, and is quite content to stay there ?*’Actions’ do speak louder than words.

He may not feeling too well, ‘call him’ sometime . . .

No, we’re not going to see the Moon Governor in this story line, He doesn’t show up until the next full-fledged Annie crossover, when Punjab must use his magic cloak to send Annie and Honey to the Land of the Magi — and it turns out to be the current location for Moon Valley

    Here’s a question

Those miniature “Land O’ Plenty” Space Coupes …

    Are they actually rideable?

And if so, might we yet see some form of Helicopter Chase …?

    Two big ‘ifs’ …

If the Mini-Coupes are rideable …

And if they are used either by Honeymoon & Annie for escape, or an MCU member for an exciting Helicopter Chase …

… might Diet Smith soften his anti-moon-tech stance enough for us to get the Air Cars back?

EPA has outside forces working to hobble it’s function.-——————————————-I grew up downwind of one of the biggest Superfund cleanups sites ever, in Stratford CT.A company which made auto brakes ran a factory for decades, with an open lagoon into which they dumped liquid chemical waste, and they gave away as “clean fill” soil loaded with asbestos, and used in school playgrounds, and around local homes. In the 90’s when the EPA was getting serious about big clean-ups (remember Love Canal?), the company hired an engineering firm to run tests. They found, among other things, that the chemicals had leeched a mile or more away, contaminating a river that ran through a park. The company running the factory knew they’d be responsible financially. So, they spun off that factory as a separate company, Raymark, with a tiny staff, and just enough money to keep the lights on.So when the EPA came calling, it was, “Gosh, we don’t have that kind of money. I guess the taxpayers will have to pay.”And you and I did.The company is still advertising their products on the sides of NASCAR racers. While the factory site has been cleaned up (it now has a Home Depot and Wal-Mart), there are still huge problems; contaminated rivers and water table, buried waste around town, and cancer in children who live above the toxins.Yeah, we really need to reign in the EPA…

Sometimes the star has to take a back seat to tell a complete story. Get over itI can see your point, but perhaps you have noticed that this has not been the first time this subject has come up in recent days, from various members of this board. That tells me that at least several folks here are getting a little restless to see Dick Tracy in his own strip (myself among them) For all of the peripheral elements of Dick Tracy, such as soap opera, mystery, fantasy, etc. it has an established reputation as being, first and foremost, a police-procedural story strip. Joe’s art is wonderful, but I myself hope Mike has not lost sight of this very important element – we should be seeing detecting going on – lab work, clues leading to conclusions, Tracy organizing the raiding party when enough evidence has been gathered, etc. I miss that aspect of the strip in these recent times.I respectfully submit this opinion – perhaps you will see my way of thinking, perhaps not. However, telling someone to “get over it” is a bit on the “snarky” side, don’t you think?

@Jim in CT:RE: the EPA -In Columbia Falls, Montana, there is an Aluminum Company that was active from the early 1950s until 2009. A giant Swiss-based trading conglomerate purchased the plant and shut it down in 2009. In the last two years, people started to wonder about contamination, and there is a movement to get the place listed on the Super Fund Priorities List for EPA clean-up. The Swiss parent company hinted they might re-open the plant, which would have meant badly needed jobs for the local economy, but when push came to shove, they admitted recently that they were closing it permanently. Since there were at least two owners before them, and since back in 1954 far less was known about ground water contamination, etc. they are basically “tossing a hot potato” around as far as who is responsible. But here’s the thing – the EPA has 18 other sites listed on the SFPL in Montana, for as long as 31 years, and not one of them has ever been de-listed – in other words, not one of them has ever been completely cleaned up. So, the people of Columbia Falls are asking themselves, which is better? Will the current owners step up to their responsibility and do what they know should be done, or will the people have to depend on the self-perpetuating bureaucracy of the Federal Government, and which would be worse? It is a true dilemma!(I learned all this by reading the Hungry Horse News, an award winning weekly newspaper which also features excellent color photography of Glacier Park and the surrounding areas. Well worth a subscription.)

@Jim in CT:I think perhaps you misunderstood one point I was making. In the case I’ve been talking about, most of the people in the know, including former employees, blame the conglomerate for the tease about the possible reopening. They are not saying the EPA prevented the jobs, they are saying the company lied to the community and had no intention of ever reopening the plant.
