Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Donât be surprised if Tracy doesnât fly that thing right into the bad guy. This is really strange & not the strip my father used to read to me every Sunday morning after church and before Sunday dinner. Of course Eisenhower isnât president anymore either.
VOTE.. Iâve received only 5 votes in two days. This is not a city, county, state or national election. For cryinâ out loud, you can vote from where youâre sitting right now. Pick a name from the list below and tyype it on a post. Nothing more needs to be said. I see name, I mark a vote for it.
There they are. Come Thur. morning I will remove all titles that have not received a vote. That will give you Thursday and Friday to vote for the remainder.
Of the 5 votes I have received, 3 were for one title.
Spam flagged. Perhaps Tracy should look in on it before it gets dumped though. He could probably use a good pair of running shoes.
A pity my friend the Roadie isnât around. Heâd get on the trail of this spammer and end the problem at the source. Most affiliate programs have anti-spamming rules and if you violate them you get cut from the program. Many ISPs wonât put up with their services being used to spam either, and theyâll cut you off in half a heartbeat if you get caught spamming.
dkram, itâs actually a Junkers Ju-87 Stuka dive bomber. Youâll notice the engine nacelle is pointed meaning the engine was an inline engine vice the flat engine front which would have indicated a radial engine which the Corsair had. Both did have the inverted gull-wing wing style though.
MisngNOLA:
I took another look at it, and it didnât look right, took a third look, and I finally saw it.
Then I read your comment, thank you for the info.
My dad said they could deadly, unless they were being shot at, then they couldnât hit the side of a barn. (with their bombs of course)
This is what happens when you turn a strip over to a quack cartoonist.
dkram: According to *my* dad, Stukas were so slow and had such poor maneuverability that theoretically you could shoot one out of the air pretty easily with an M-1, but the emphasis was on theoretically: the siren on the aircraft was fiendishly designed to scramble the nerves of the GIs below so they couldnât think of anything but diving for cover. Fortunately (?), my dad spent most of his time in the Hurtgen forest, where Stukas were useless.
Swooping down menacingly from the sky
Hardly giving you time to kiss your ⌠goodbye
Came the deadly Stuka with siren shrieking
Making a deep hole you would be seeking
As airborne artillery, used were they
Ranging forward in the fray
With fixed gear on which to land
Their airspeed was not so grand
But in a dive it showed its mettle
Robbing those below of their fine fettle
But then came the Battle of Britain
And their behinds were sorely bitten
To slow they were against the Brits
Spitfires and Hurricanes gave them the âŚ
Without total control of the air
They seem to lose most of their flair
Over the Hurtgen forest they were not used
But by the deadly 88âs were the soldiers abused
And now it just serves as a prop
In the tale of a cowardly cop
Whose has seen a better day
And an egg, soon, I think he will lay.
Thank you everyone, for your kind comments from previous days.
I want to thank those of you who have voted, Apparently most
of those that submitted Title Avatars were more interested in displaying their cleverness than anything else, as only four or five submitters have cast their vote.
I could have sworn that I had submitted Disgraceful Travesty a couple of days before the voting began, but I donât see it listed among the ones to vote for.
Oh well. Dim Twilight is as good a metaphor for the current state of the strip; Iâll vote for that.
People who find this spammer an unwelcome Bleeping pest should contact go-comics and complain. Donât know if it would do any good but, at least a statement would have been made.
HmmmâŚâŚJust noticed. I thought B;ank had the gun in his right hand but, it now seems to be in his left hand and heâreaching for the axe with his riight hand. HEâS GONNA CHOP TRACY AND HIS AIRPLANE DOWN?

So if Johnny Nothing cuts the cable, and the plane crashes and nobodyâs around to hear it, do we still have a very lame story line?

I get it! How clever of Tracy. First the sub, now the plane. Johnny Nothing will be hit by a double whammy of seasickness and air sickness.
Like the kids say: Sick!

That airplane does have stubby wings.

Shirttail, the spammer, using an account created today, has already spammed 248 times.
Go-Comics could easily auto-delete anyone, and their posts, who posts the same message multiple times, if they wanted to.
