I am very proud to be called Abuelo or Abuelito by my four little ones here in Ecuador and Gramps by my grown, gringo grandson, in the States.

I wonder about PC. I’ve been told that I’m not an American since The United States does not own the entire continent. Therefore I am a “Person of the United States” not “American” unless I’m African-American or Asian-American, or Native American or Hispanic-American or (fill in the blank)-American.

I have difficulty with the term African-American. Not every person of apparent African descent is American. The person could be African-Canadian, or African-Mexican or African-Chinese or – get this – African!

It better than being called a “chronologically challenged methane expulsion”

This might be funny if developments of late didn’t indicate that it’s highly likely to happen.
