Either leave the kid home with a babysitter or take care of them at the restaurant. Other diners are not your kidsā babysitters and neither are the servers.
While this is very humorous, I find it all too true. I experience people like this [male AND female] way more often than Iād like. And they either donāt have the slightest ideaā¦or they just donāt care. I donāt know which is worse.
One time, when our girls were much younger (about 6 & 8), we went to have lunch at our favorite buffet place. It was early, so there were quite a few empty tables. Soon after we were seated, another couple came in. When the hostess (also the manager, who knew us well) went to seat them near us, they asked to be moved because they didnāt want to sit near āthose kidsā. The hostess tried to tell them that āthose kidsā were well behaved, but they wouldnāt have it. Soon after they were seated the place started filling up. A family with 3 extremely boisterous boys came inā¦and the only table that would accommodate them was right next to the couple! We saw the couple look over at us: at our girls sitting nicely, using chopsticks, talking quietly with us.
This brought back memories of Dad. āDo you want to go outside?ā (The answer was NO!!!!! There are no witnesses outside!) However, I taught to behave, and so were my children.

And this is why we have takeout, delivery, and āHappy Mealsā.

Typical young person, that teacher. Perpetually offended by the imaginary rudeness of others yet completely blind to her own actual rudeness.

This display of arrogant selfishness is so on point right now.

At her level of self-centering she would have to stoop to be arrogantā¦
