Diet Smith smirked, on his face an arrogant grinHe certainly was enjoying the crisis Biggs was inT-Bolt’s logically plan which would cause her and Smith to goMight finally solve the riddle, is she friend or is she foeTwo spunky but foolish girls finding danger up aheadMight one day come to wish that they had placed a call insteadMost likely they’ll survive the odds they’ll die are a zillion to oneBut only because it’s the comics in real life they might be doneAnd for those who hoped to see If moon-face Melies was made of Port Wine cheeseWell the jokes entirely on youWhat’d you expect Joe and Mike to doThey love to draw us in and to leave us needing moreThen just at the point of glory they preceed to shut the doorWe can shout and yell and pout and moan and cry till we’re blueBut ultimately we’ll just have no choice but to wait a day or two.

Show of hands…who thinks T-Bolt is really Lee Ebony?

You were missed yesterday avenger09. I would have love to see your take of recent events.

I have this feeling that T-Bolt wanted to be as far away as possible from Mr. Bigg. First it was to check the stairs, now to take Diet somewhere else.

It’s only that we don’t know any working for the FBI in this strip but we know Lee and she hasn’t been seen lately and we know that she is used to working under deep cover. She’s not the only possibility, but it seems pretty probable.

Well, it’s often better to make use of existing characters unless there’s a good reason to invent a new one. That’s one of the reasons that Annie’s in this story—she’s a perfectly good existing character that’s a friend of Honeymoon’s. There was no need to invent a new one.

So many moving parts …

At least BB-Eyes and Doubleup have been removed from play.

It appears to me the Monroe’s, Mumbles, Melies, Venus and Apollo;Still have their loaded & drawn guns ready to kill, but with no one to shoot or no place to go.We know this is not going to end good for the bad guys …Some of them may even get a bullet right between their eyes, Because remember the SWAT team sharpshooters have rifles with a scope,If any of those thugs end up in their crosshair there will not be the slightest of hope. It seems that this story is at its end, but who knows it may have just begun.Never the less Mike & Joe have made this for most of us a lot of fun.Now this poem may not be a classic Pequod77 or an av09.But even a blind squirrel gets an acorn from time to time!……. Y’ know.. that could be Lee, or just another black lady doing the same kind of work. Whereza rule that only one black person at a time can work in the FBI ?-—————————————————-No, there’s no rule, and yes, T-Bolt could be someone else.But think about the story. It’s all been about the Blackhearts, and even if we don’t see Tracy as the lead character, Mike would logically build the story around somebody in the MCU. And Lee is the only one known for undercover work.So, when we weren’t looking, Mike switched gears on the gold robbery case, and led us into a story featuring an undercover cop, instead of Tracy himself..

If T-Bolt is an undercover law enforcement officer (LEO), as I believe she is (and, most likely, specifically Lee Ebony), this is a golden opportunity: Mr. Bigg has been conned into letting her take hostage Diet Smith out of his sight on her own. She will be able to free him and help him escape to the cops. And if Annie and Honeymoon see this or are seen by T-Bolt, they too can be guided to safety, alongside Poppa Smith.. All of this can happen without Mr. Bigg having any suspicion. On the other hand, with al the gunsels roaming the upper floors, there could be some difficulty getting the hostages to the cops; we may see a mini-shootout among baddies and T-Bolt/Lee Ebony….

Well written and just one thing, all FBI are called “special” agents, who knows why?There’s a very good discussion of the title “special agent” on Wikipedia.

She would just be sitting around collecting unemployment otherwise.We can’t have her being unemployed, so it’s good she has a role to play here.

T-BOLT: He’s got a point, sir. Besides, as a covert undercover operative, I should probably escort this civilian someplace safe before things hit the fan.

PANEL TWO:

MR. BRIBERY: “Safe? T-Bolt, this is DICK TRACY we’re talking about! It’s about as safe in this building for us as it was for Mrs. Flattop. Safe doesn’t exist in this dojo. Fortunately, I can hear a helicopter hovering outside, which I can only assume is ours.

PANEL THREE

ANNIE: Maybe “hiding” out in the open, crouched in front of this door to eavesdrop on a sociopathic criminal mastermind, inside a building swarming with frightened, trigger-happy murderers wasn’t our brightest idea.

HONEYMOON: At least this floor is locked down and sealed off from the others, so none of those miscellaneous goons can get at us, Annie. Of course, neither can help, unless the big, scary lady is covert ops or something. That’s pretty unlikely, though.

Okay, I’ll agree that there’s a better chance of T-Bolt being Lee Ebony than not. Logically, it seems to fall into place. This is not one of Bribery’s better schemes. Except for having listening devices it doesn’t appear he has very good security but I said the same about Smith Industries. I don’t know why they are just hanging around in Bribery’s office. You’d think the primary goal now would be to get to the helicopter quickly. He’s already lost this battle. His forces are scattered all over the building without any direction. I don’t see how he has much change of escape.
