Yeah, just what is she doing under an airplane? Can this dialog get any lamer?

The chief’s face changed from panel 1 to panel 2. DT looks more dead than alive. The dude with the bow tie looks like he’s had a few.

Some commenters have mentioned a few inconsistencies with the latest plotline in the areas of characterization, motivation, continuity, even physics.

So I gather this isn’t based on a true story. Huh.

Tracy looks like he’s been rode hard, and put away wet.

Liz’ face in the first panel is actually quite striking. It’s showing emotion quite well. Too bad her lines are so lame.

“I’ll going to run an ID patch on her.”

Oh, so NOW you’re going to do background checks? After all, “Detective” Tracy didn’t do one on Johnny Nothing after Johnny said their relatives had met. I mean, it’s not like it’s been known for relatives to carry out revenge for kin they feel have been wronged.

The dialogue isn’t lame; it’s plane stupid.

Why does Tracy look like he’s been through the ringer? He was fine while standing on the airplane wing. After that, the only thing that happened to him was that he fell into the cockpit. Where’d all those bruises and stuff come from?

Body count update:

Anja Nu-dead after she had an impossibly mounted plane impossibly fall on her.

The Blank-not dead after being shot in the back and dropping, I dunno, twenty feet? And not having the plane hit him.

Guy on stage-???????

He doesn’t look too bad. …except for that swollen eyebrow!

Another day, two new never before seen Lizzes.

One wonders where he “light boxed” the first Liz from. Where ever it was, he should steal from that source more often.

Note the left wrist on Sam Catchem NO Wrist Geenee - it’s BLANK, there’s ‘nothing’ there. No Wrist Geenee. It’s cellphone time, just like Chief Lizz on Thursday.

Seems Locher only allows Tracy to wear one and only occasionaly, in ‘token’ memory, as an alternative to a cell-phone.

No one else in the strip has has been depicted wearing one for the past 16 years. It seems like a subtle way of ‘gutting’ much that Gould created. It’s what he calls “artistic control” and his first target was Tracy’s signature hat.

What’s next (?) before Father Time takes him out in December.

Maybe…but Bond always had cool gadgets.

Panel-Panner: there’s nothing lascivious about Marg’s comment which refers to horses. Apparently your mind is going places she never intended.

James Bond would have killed Blank at the start of the story and Liz would have shot Anja-James and Liz would now be on a Caribbean Island singing “Underneath the mango tree…”

Sam looks like he became a hybrid of himself, Lt. Teevo, and a laxative commercial.

The panel 1 Liz(z) looks downright Vulcan.

In panel 3, Liz(z)’s “The Blank, Tracy” makes me want to ask questions that shall remain unanswered. Is she saying “The Blank” as in the character in the play? As the new villain Johnny Nothing’s moniker? How long will he last? And with Sidney’s spoilers, it doesn’t matter since none of this makes sense…

She was in a hurry to catch a plane!

Another wonderful Dick Tracy comic adventure comes to a CRASHING conclusion.

Maybe Anja just decided to fly under the plane!
