    No need to put them back. Their combined mass just killed everyone on Earth, and the entire collection is now on a death spiral into the sun. Free joy ride!

    Good thing that Pluto isn’t a planet any more or it wouldn’t work.

    No, I’d rather not. It took a lot of work to move them, in the first place.. I’m rather tired. – Plus, I.thought the place could use a fresh, new look… but I guess I was wrong.

    Where’s Pluto? I don’t care what the “scientists” say, Pluto will always be a planet in my heart!

    The moon “looks close”? Says who? Does the sun look close? After all, it’s exactly the same size as the moon, in a total eclipse.

    Actually, close, but not quite. From the data I received from Wikipedia, and measuring from the center of Earth to the center of the Moon (average distance: 384,403 km (238,857 miles)), the cumulative diameters of the other seven planets exceed the Earth-Moon distance by 3,538 km (2198 miles).

    Good Morning All;

    Here’s one of my many .sig files that get appended to my e-mail:

    I wanted to find out just how much the Earth weighs so I went into the bathroom and turned the scale up-side-down. BAD PLAN: the scale was crushed beyond recognition. I’m not strong enough to lift the Earth off of it, so now I’m stuck with a paper-thin scale on my bathroom floor…

    Why not 15 or so planets? Why is 8 the magic number?

    When bus drivers in my town drive ten years without an accident, they get a shoulder patch that says “million miles accident free.” I wonder if they realize that they’ve driven more miles than the distance Neal Armstrong traveled to get to the moon. So yeah, it is pretty close when you compare it with the distance to other heavenly bodies.
