Years ago when I was under a lot of stress, I would grind my teeth in my sleep and can remember my jaw locking up and being very difficult to unlock. Glad those days are gone.

Poor Earl. He gets blamed even when she’s sleeping.

I grind my teeth at night, and wearing a night guard STOPPED the jaw from locking.

A change of scenery, like a day trip would improve Opal’s additude. A spa experience followed up with music and dining.

Temporomandibular joint disorder is most often caused by the disk that separates the joint and certain bones eroding or moving out of its proper alignment, joint cartilage damaged by arthritis, or the joint being damaged by a blow. However, in some cases the cause is unclear. Could be an irritating spouse I suppose.
