It’s sad. Plus, Zeke was the slightly more upbeat of the team, so now it’s up to Wes Yohola to keep Drake from being too dour. Wes has been reading The Buckets for years, though, and can remember strips I did that I barely recall. He’s really cool. Wrote a book recently, too. ‘The Artifice Conspiracy’. If you’re into fantasy-type sword and sorcery-as-science stories, it’s worth getting a copy.

I see. Local references that outsiders wouldn’t get.

I didn’t have to drive my kids to school. They either walked or took the school bus, but when they were in my vehicle, they knew better than to touch my radio.

I didn’t remember that you used to live here, Strod! How cool is that?

Both our kids were able to walk to elementary school and middle school, but not high school now. Now, there’s driving to be done. Yow. And there might be some way for them to take the bus, one might be able to get a school bus, and the other would have to take a city bus. Just the way to start the day- an hour on a bus for a fifteen minute trip.
