Way up north (the top of my head) gets cold in the winter. As my hair got older the follicles started retiring, leaving my head for warmer climates in my ears & nose.
MIL had a visitor one day who brought her young granddaughter along. The little girl stared for a long time at my FIL sitting in his undershirt and then stated "I know what happened to your hair. It fell onto your shoulders.”

The story of my hair. From down to my shoulders in high school to having a highly reflective pate in my fifties.

Just try to think of it as a wide part, if ever you’re feeling over-combed by the loss.
