Call me manipulative, but I do that to my DH, but he takes longer than Arlo. I mention something, it rattles around in his brain, and then it’s his idea. Works for me. Worked for my MIL.

There is a type of gutter topper that has screening to prevent pine needles from getting into gutters. What we need is something that will prevent acorns from rolling into the gutters, before we have a roof full of oak trees.

After a week of “what he hears” jokes on Red and Rover we can deduce that Arlo has poorer hearing acuity than Rover.
