Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for November 14, 2015
Transcript:
Phoebe: Why does rain make me feel sad? It's pretty. It makes the plants grow. But looking at it brings me down. Marigold: It is because somewhere, a unicorn's meticulously coiffed mane is becoming *sniff* FRIZZY! Phoebe: Pretty sure it's not. Marigold: I must go out and let the rain wash away my tears...have the hairdryer at the ready.

Nah, the best thing to do with rain, is to go out and dance in it!

I assume this happens when they are distracted by a reflection and forget to engage their personal weather shields.

I like the look and sound of rain. It makes me feel peaceful — and relaxed, listening to it in bed. As long as I don’t have to be OUT in it. LOL!!!

Me too, I love the rain. Especially the sound of it at night, it’s great for sleeping.

Sounds better in summer when it falls on the leaves, but rain is good in my books too

The real reason Marigold has to go outside: Watching it rain brings on the need to pee.

I like the occasional melancholia; it’s like emotional retreat time. November’s gray days are a good time for reflection.
And, pretty shortly, hoping like heck that some bright sparkling snow comes to relieve the drear!

Yes indeed, Marigold Heavenly Nostrils (just love that name!) Although the salt from your tears would not show on your perfect whiter-than-snow coat, YOU would know it was there and it just would NOT do!

Is Mari thinking of her sister? But then again, her mane is already frizzy. :P
