I thought we were headed for unhappy children, because their toys had been silenced.

I always left a small squeak in so I could hear where they were. If I couldn’t hear anything, I’d go looking for them.

Adding a bit of raw olive oil daily to your salads could help … Or also blue fish. Or both …

    Glucosamine and chondroitin helps, too.

Once you reach a certain age, the only thing that’s guaranteed to make those bodily squeaks and pops go away is turning off your hearing aid.

The part I like the best are the panels of the kids having fun. :-)

It is a proven fact that the warranty runs out at 40!

In my mid 30’s my wife made that comment. I of course, said yeah right. Half way through my 40th year, you guessed it. Snap crackle, pop.

All my friends have confirmed this as well. But I’m still 30 in my mind!!! LOL

As long as I can remember, my knees have crackled like broken celery stalks when rising. But I’ve never had any trouble with them and I’m very flexible. I’m 55 and I can rise straight up from sitting cross-legged on the floor without using my arms or ‘bouncing up’ for momentum.

LOVE the first panel, with Lizzie and the dust behind her lil trike! SO ADORABLE, and brings back memories of ME, and my “Big Wheel©”… man I miss ‘the old days’, when kids played outside!

    Vldazzle,

Are you able to post your pizza crust recipe on here? (From eariler comment section) or would that be spam? I’d love to have it!

Lord, John, you’re seizing up. Must be because Elly doesn’t like you playing with Ted, and you’re confined to your office so much. Pick up a broom or use the vacuum - that’ll put the zing in your spring!

When I used to go visit my sister in Ottawa (Ontario, Canada), the squeaking cupboard doors in the kitchen drove me crazy. And of course she didn’t have any WD40. So next time I brought some. And proceeded to lubricate all the hinges in the whole kitchen, one by one - it took a good ten or fifteen minutes.

At that time she had three children, all just barely walking. I explained what I was doing and moved the cupboard doors back and forth so they could hear that there was no more squeak. Never will I forget the expressions on their hushed little faces as I processed the doors. This was just out of their universe! Such awe!

Should have been using WD-40 - it DOES oil up the old joints…

My husband has always said that you only really need 2 items in your home for a majority of your household fix-it needs:

1.) Duct tape for when it moves and shouldn’t 2.) WB40 for when it doesn’t move and should
