The Dr. Who reference was close. I’m a big Douglas Adams fan. His first Dirk Gently book was originally a Dr. Who script.

But Eddie, what if you will get the Time Machine and he (you) will take an Eddie from your future back with him? You won’t know about it until it will happen. So, keep waiting, little Eddie…

Eddie, there has to be a start to the causual loop – if you don’t ask for it, you will not have received it in the future in the first place to take your past self forward.

I love the way Eddie so naturally and easily mangled the English language into doing exactly what he needed it to do.

Eddie must have been paying close attention to the grammar lessons in English class. His conjugation is pretty good for a kid his age.
