Just for my own curiousity, how is it that several of my comments, lately, are in one position at one point , and yet then get moved down? For example this morning, how could my 1st comment have been replied to before I made it. Is this happening to anyone else? Once again, just curious, not angry in the least…

Those emitting lines denoting the xray vision reminds me of Aquamans telepathic signal to the ocean creatures from the SUperfriends cartoons.

There definitely should be some odd sound effect associated with those “Vision Lines” …

… audible to we, the audience, but to no one else.

Also, I’m not sure that Joe bothered to design Specs without those funky goggles.

I can see the birth of a criminal.

I do not think Specs would be able to resist the advantages and benefits of using his new glasses.

This story arc reminds me of the 1963 Ray Milland movie “X: The Man With the X-Ray Eyes”. Things turned out disastrously for the film’s protagonist, and I have a hunch that the same will be true for Specs.

Wow! I bought a pair of X-ray glasses for $1 when I was 12. It was on the back of a comic book. Mine did not work that well.

As Sissypus speculated then, the arrival of so many Detectives for a function (A Detective Convention ?) in Tracy’s City … must have some connection ‘back’ to the events with Specs and Spicy which were just ‘beginning’ to unfold.That seems fairly obvious . . . (?) as events have returned to developments with the young couple !

Diet will soon discover that he, has a problem (and if I may be allowed - this “irreverent” observation) . . . (?)

But, that aside, there’s an important Tracy colleague “missing” from this Group, one that appeared on Granite Island with Tracy, and in the same story as the Cuban Detective Wunbrow. It was a Scotland Yard Detective – Whitehall

Whitehall would reappear in the Locher/Kilian years (1998) assisting in their Monsieur Neuveau storyline . . .

Well, we were told at one point that this story was called “The Three Detectives.” We already encountered Trailer, Ivanov, and Wunbrow last Sunday, so I don’t know if there would be room for Whiteheart. Besides, Tracy was not one of the three we already met at the airport and Ivanov was “wishing [he] could also be present” so it’s hard to say what direction we’re going in the end. It seems that we already have one too many detectives if Tracy is included. As always, I suppose we will have to wait to see what happens.

If there’s a convention in town, presumably lots of other detectives are in town, aside from the ones we just saw.

Been busy as of late, so I haven’t read the strip for almost 2 weeks (will read the comments later on), but I do want to wish everyone on the forum and Team Tracy a belated but Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
